Malia Designs is a socially responsible Fair Trade brand that designs and sells handbags and accessories. Our products are handcrafted in Cambodia and every purchase helps to fight human trafficking.

Malia Designs was formed to increase economic opportunity for women in Cambodia and to support organizations that fight human trafficking in Southeast Asia. Our products are made by Fair Trade producer groups that employ disadvantaged people in Cambodia. By bringing their crafts to Western markets, we can expand their access to sustainable income.

We work with a wide range of materials, including recycled feedbags and cement bags, hand-spun silks, and screen-printed cotton blends. Our producers use a variety of methods to make the bags, from traditional weaving to the modern screen- printing process. Each bag is uniquely beautiful and all are functional enough for everyday use.

Malia Designs also aims to help victims of human trafficking by donating to organizations working in this arena. Human trafficking is a multi-billion dollar illegal trade affecting millions of people every year. We believe that one way to counteract this global issue is to increase access to economic opportunity in the most affected areas.

Since partnering with Malia Designs, our producer groups have increased both their work force and salaries. With your support we can continue changing women’s lives for the better. Malia Designs philanthropic efforts take the fight against human trafficking a step further by donating to organizations that fight child trafficking. MINIMUM ORDER We have a $150 minimum order policy. There is no minimum on reorders.

PAYMENT INFORMATION We accept all major credit cards and checks. Checks should be payable to Malia Designs. Please contact us if you would like any other payment arrangements. Please send credit references when applying for terms.

LEAD TIMES Orders will generally be shipped within 2-3 business days. Most orders are shipped within 1 business day. If you have an urgent deadline, please make note of it when you place your order. You may also place orders in advance with staggered or future ship dates.

SHIPPING INFORMATION All orders are shipped out from our warehouse in San Diego, CA. Shipping charges are based on weight, size, and destination of the order. By default we ship UPS Ground for all domestic orders and USPS priority for international shipments. We may use another shipping option upon request, and your shipping account if you specify.

BACKORDER POLICY Malia Designs will ship all available items for your requested ship date and automatically put any unavailable on back order. We will ship any backordered items that become available within 8 weeks in one combined shipment. Shipping charges for back- ordered items will not exceed 10% of the value of the backorder. Any remaining items which are still not available after 8 weeks will be automatically canceled. At that time, if there are any items you would still like to receive from Malia Designs, please place a new order. Please state clearly on your order if you have specific backorder requests or policies which are different than our stated policy.

RETURN POLICY We want you to be completely satisfied with our products. However, if you are dissatisfied orf any reason, you may make a return within 15 days of original receipt of item(s). Products may be returned in their original condition with product tags and without retail price stickers. We ask that you pay for return shipping except in case of quality issues where we would cover shipping. For returns related to damaged or defective items, please contact us within 15 days of receipt of the item(s). We will work with you in order to provide a replacement or refund/credit for the product.
