TC160816SP14B TRAINSTATION body builder Erica Loveall excels on her return to the stage.

Erica Loveall has become the third Team Trainstation bodybuilder to qualify for the WFF National Championships. Loveall joins Mike Smith and Debbie McWatters qualifying for the nationals being staged Christchurch on October 10. In a fairytale return to the sport — 15 years after her last show — Loveall place runner-up in the masters physique section of the NABBA Bay of Plenty Champion- ships. Always athletic and trained, this year she decided to go the extra distance and compete. She pin-pointed the Bay of Plenty champs, dedicating herself to the training and diet discipline needed to do so. Her effort consisted of five days early morning training, plus at least six cardio sessions per week. Contesting the masters physique sec- tion was a feat in itself . . . the majority of bodybuilders enter other divisions when starting out, rather than going straight to physique. Loveall placed second up against a seasoned veteran, putting her into national title contention if she chooses to pursue it. Her coach Mike Smith says she made an amazing transformation over the seven months leading up to her return to the stage. “It is a testament to her crazy work ethic in and out of the gym. “She peaked perfectly and will have a great competitive future at her level, if she wishes to continue.” Team Trainstation are grateful for all the local sponsors who assist them.
