Drugs do have their place in certain situations and for shorter durations to improve an out of control symptom. When you really think about it, howev- er, can you fix the root cause of an issue by controlling a symptom with a chemi- cal drug? In the long run, you may actu- ally cause further imbalance and toxici- ty. Another factor to consider are the different approaches and views when gathering diagnostic information. A good example is looking strictly at blood work to determine if a person has a thy- roid issue. We’ve talked to many people who know they have symptoms of low thyroid function: fatigue, weight gain, thinning hair, and achy muscles, but all their blood markers come back normal, and their symptoms are interpreted as “maybe it’s just stress” or “your just get- ting older.” What we often find when we look at this from a wholistic, root cause approach, is most of these individuals have inflammation affecting cellular function from years of toxic exposure due to diet and environmental factors. These toxins affect the cell’s outer lin- ing, the cell membrane, keeping it from recognizing the thyroid hormone as readily as it should. Thus the thyroid hormones such as TSH, T4 and even T3, can look normal in the circulating blood, but, cells can’t respond to them as well. An estimated 75 vehicles flashed their headlights, turned on their four-way flashers and honked their horns to thank hospital staff and providers as they battle COVID-19 on the front lines of patient care. Organized by Reich Tool & Design of Menomonee Falls, the car caravan then made its way up along the main entrance of the hospital where hospital staff waved, clapped and cheered to recognize the outpouring of support. The Menomonee Falls Police Department even joined in the fun with lights and sirens.

Tony Evers extended the state "Safer at Home" order until May 26. The original order was instituted by Evers on March 24 and started the next day in response to the COVID-19 out- break. The order ordered non essential businesses to close though April 24. Under the new order, all K-12 schools in the state will be closed for the remainder of the year. The revised order states that local health officials may close public parks and open spaces if it becomes too difficult to ensure social distancing or the areas are being mistreated. The revised order does allow golf courses to open again, with restrictions on scheduling and paying for tee times online or by phone only. Non essential businesses may be allowed to perform more operations, such as deliveries, mailings, and curb-side pick-up. Public libraries can now provide curb-side pick-up of books and other library materials. Arts and craft stores may offer expanded curb-side pick-up of materials necessary to make face masks or other personal protective equipment (PPE). Also, aesthetic or optional exteri- or lawn care or construction is now allowed under the extended order, as long as it can be done by one person. The revised order states that essen- tial retail businesses must limit the number of people in their store at one time, leave proper spacing for people to enter, and offer two hours per week for shopping time for vulnerable popula- tions. “A few weeks ago, we had a pretty grim outlook for what COVID-19 could mean for our state, but because of the efforts of all of you, Safer at Home is working. That said, we aren't out of the woods just yet,” said Gov. Evers. “As I've said all along, we are going to rely on the science and public health experts to guide us through this challenge. So, as we extend Safer at Home, I need all of you to continue doing the good work you've been doing so we can keep our families, our neighbors, and our com- munities safe, and get through this storm together.” “Before we lift Safer at Home, the steps of testing and more robust public health measures must be in place,” explained Secretary-designee Andrea Palm. “These steps will help us reduce the risk of a second wave of the virus. If we open up too soon, we risk over- whelming our hospitals and requiring more drastic physical distancing meas- ures again.” Sign up for Savings GO TO discoverhometown.com click SAVINGS to sign up and receive our weekly savings offer!
