A Message From the Chairperson: Reflection: In the previous editions of the newsletter I discussed Piety and Study. In this edition I would like to share my thoughts about the 3rd leg of the Cursillo tripod, Action. Jesus said, everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another (John 13:35). But how do we put that love into action? I would like to propose one option to consider, that we edify one another. “Edify” is a transitive verb that has two characteristics: First, it is an action verb, expressing a doable activity. Second, it must have a direct object, something or someone who receives the action of the verb. The way we edify another person is to encourage and build up that person in Christ. The Apostle Paul writes to the church to “encourage one another and build one another up” (1 Thess 5:11). The idea that Paul has in mind is the action to promote the spiritual growth and development of others by teaching or by example. We, as Cursillistas, should be reaching out to those that need edification to overcome the trials that cause discouragement and despair in their daily faith walk. As we run our race toward eternal glory, let us continually encourage each other and "persevere in running the race that lies before us”. DeColores, Dan Martin, Chairperson

Group Reunion Update: Multiple times on Sunday of the weekend and at closing, the babe chicks hear the importance of and call to Group Reunion. We encourage the babe chicks to start a Group Reunion with members from their weekend and we also provide a list of Group Reunions in their 4th Day Packet. If you are reading this Rooster Review, you know how vital your Group Reunion is to your spiritual fitness. The CVCC is urging Group Reunions to provide their meeting information to us so that the 4th Day Packet list can be expanded and updated. We implore you to send contact information (name, phone number, date, time of meeting, location of meeting, name of group members) to Dan Martin at 703-930-5587 (cell) or [email protected]. Thank you for your help! Mary Martin, CVCC Member at Large
