TOWN PLANNING ORDINANCE (Chapter 131) AMENDMENTS TO THE APPROVED AND OUTLINE ZONING PLAN NO. S/H18/6 Under section 12(1)(b)(ii) of the Town Planning Ordinance (the Ordinance), the Chief Executive in Council on 8 July 2003 referred the approved Tai Tam and Shek O Outline Zoning Plan No. S/H18/6 to the Town Planning Board for amendment. The Town Planning Board has made amendments to the Plan. The amendments are set out in the Schedule of Amendments. Pursuant to section 12(3) of the Ordinance, the draft Plan No. S/H18/7 showing the amendments is exhibited under section 5 of the Ordinance for public inspection for a period of two months from the date of the first publication of this notice, that is until 30 March 2004, during normal office hours at the following locations:— (i) the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, 15th Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, ; (ii) the Hong Kong District Planning Office, 14th Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong; and (iii) the Southern District Office, Ground Floor, Ocean Court, 3 Aberdeen Praya Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong. In accordance with section 6(1) of the Ordinance, any person affected by the amendments so exhibited may object within the said period of two months by sending to the Town Planning Board a written statement of his objection to the amendment(s) and address it to the Secretary, Town Planning Board, 15th Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong. A person may only object to the amendments. In accordance with section 6(2) of the Ordinance, a written statement of objection shall set out:— (i) the nature of and reasons for the objection; and (ii) if the objection would be removed by an alteration of the draft Plan, any alteration proposed. Copies of the draft Tai Tam and Shek O Outline Zoning Plan No. S/H18/7 incorporating the amendments are available on payment of a fee at the Survey and Mapping Office, Map Publications Centre (Hong Kong), 23rd Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong, and the Survey and Mapping Office, Map Publications Centre (Kowloon), Ground Floor, 382 Nathan Road, Kowloon. Amendments to Matters Shown on the Plan Item A — Rezoning of sections of the coastal areas around Tai Tam Bay, Tai Tam Harbour, Cape D’Aguilar, Lap Sap Wan, Island Bay, Shek O Wan, Tai Tau Chau, Ng Fan Chau and Big Wave Bay from ‘Green Belt’ to ‘Coastal Protection Area’. Item B — Rezoning of a strip of coastal area to the south of the and east of the Shek O Village from ‘Green Belt’ to ‘Government, Institution or Community’. Item C1 — Rezoning of strips of land near Tai Tam Road, Obelisk Hill, Shek O Road, Shek O Quarry, D’Aguilar Peak and Cape D’Aguilar Road from ‘Country Park’ to ‘Green Belt’ to tie in with the updated boundaries of the Shek O Country Park. Item C2 — Rezoning of strips of land near Obelisk Hill, Shek O Road, Shek O Quarry, D’Aguilar Peak and Cape D’Aguilar Road from ‘Green Belt’ to ‘Country Park’ to tie in with the updated boundaries of the Shek O Country Park. Item C3 — Rezoning of a strip of land at Shek O Village from ‘Green Belt’ to ‘Village Type Development’ to reflect the coverage of the existing Shek O Village. Item C4— Rezoning of a strip of land at No. 18 Tai Tam Road from ‘Green Belt’ to ‘Residential (Group C)3’ to reflect the lot boundaries of the existing developments. Item C5 — Rezoning of a strip of land at No. 28 Tai Tam Road from ‘Green Belt’ to ‘Other Specified Uses’ annotated ‘Sports and Recreation Club’ to reflect the lot boundaries of the existing American Recreation Club development. II. Amendments to the Notes of the Plan (a) General revision to the covering Notes and to expand the scope of uses or developments that are always permitted. (b) Revision to the user schedules of individual zones in accordance with the respective planning intentions and to subsume uses of similar nature or planning implications under the corresponding broad use terms. (c) Addition of statements of planning intention to the Notes for individual zones. (d ) General revision to the Remarks of the Notes for individual zones to clearly set out the development restrictions.
