Dear Members, It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 5th ITF Taekwon-Do African Cup 2016, Which will be held in the Federal Youth Academy Sport Hall, -Ethiopia from August 6 th – 7th , 2016 We sincerely hope that the African Cup 2016 will be a success for all Competitors, Coaches, Umpires, VIPs and Supporters. Arrival Date and Meeting Point Delegations/Individuals must arrive in Addis Ababa on or before Thursday August 4th 2016 and must proceed directly to the meeting point in the federal youth academy Sport Hall for registration of accreditation and/or payments on Friday August 5 th, 2016 at 08:30 in the morning for 2 nd African continental meeting. Each delegation will be responsible for their own expenses whilst attending the African Cup. Registration Registration of Competitors, Coaches, and others will be coordinated by Ethiopian International Taekwon-Do Association (EITA) on 5 th August 2016. Competition Rules Competition rules the current International Taekwon-Do Federation rules will be applied. See: www.tkd-itf.org for more info. The African Cup is open for National Teams and ITF TKD clubs from Africa and others out of Africa, who are interested to be part of it. therefore, competitors from national associations or from associated club or schools are allowed to attend. Competitors shall compete in the divisions laid down in the following rules, and must be of the appropriate indicated age at the first day of the competition beginning. Competitors in all divisions must be healthy and registered with their National Associations. All competitors must apply to the African Cup 2016 by using email mentioned above. Weigh In The Weigh In shall take place on Thursday August 5th , 2016 from 17.00-19.00, according to the Weigh In time table per delegates in the FYA Sport Hall. Competitors must find their own way to be present at the Weigh In. Competitors must make the weigh in their ITF approved dobok trousers and T-shirt or Polo shirt. A maximum of 500 gram margin over the indicated weight category is permitted. Competitors not making their weight at the 1st attempt will have one (1) hour to present themselves for the 2nd and last attempt. If he/she doesn’t make the weight then he/she shall be removed from the sparring competition category and shall not be allowed to enter any other weight category. Belt levels 2

Competition is according for the following belt levels • Black Belts 1st Dan and above Equipment regulations All competitors must wear the official ITF dobok and can use any ITF protection gear. All competitors in sparring competition must use protection gear in red or blue color depending on the draw. Entry fees Competitors entry fee (both individuals and/or team members): 5$ per competitor (also for competitors taking part as only team members) Team entry fee: 10 $ per team Coach ID card amount: Free Attention! 100% of fees must be paid up on arrival on August 4th or 5 th , 2016. Insurance The Organizing Committee of the African Cup 2016 will NOT be financially responsible for any possible injuries caused during the competition. All competitors must have full insurance coverage by their own organization. Free Training Facilities Free training hall are available in the FYA Sport Hall. Accommodation Please note that EITA and/or Organizing Committee will not handle any accommodation booking. Therefore booking of accommodation must be made by a person responsible for each participating delegate. Estimated Accommodation fee per person starting 25$ - 100$ according the level of hotels in Addis Ababa.
