NDC National Demographics Corporation Pasadena City Redistricting Task Force Modified Draft Plan Thematic Maps The attached maps provide detailed socio-economic data for Pasadena, overlaid with the proposed Councilmanic district borders of the Task Force's Modified Draft Plan. The following individual thematic maps are included: 1. Hispanic percentage of total population (2010 Census, shown by Census Block) 2. Hispanic percentage of voting age population (2010 Census, shown by Census Block) 3. African-American percentage of total population (2010 Census, shown by Census Block) 4. African-American percentage of voting age population (2010 Census, shown by Census Block) 5. Asian-American percentage of total population (2010 Census, shown by Census Block) 6. Asian-American percentage of voting age population (2010 Census, shown by Census Block) 7. Percentage of population age 18 and over with a college degree (2005-2009 American Community Survey, shown by Census Block Group) 8. Percentage of population age 18 and over with less than a high school degree (2005-2009 American Community Survey, shown by Census Block Group) 9. Percentage of households with children under 18 years of age (2005-2009 American Community Survey, shown by Census Block Group) 10. Percentage of households with household income below the poverty line (2005-2009 American Community Survey, shown by Census Block Group) 11. Percentage of households with household income over $75,000 per year (2005-2009 American Community Survey, shown by Census Block Group) 12. Pasadena Neighborhood Associations (colors are official Associations; hatching show boundaries claimed in public comment and matches as closely as possible to Census Block lines) For simplicity, the ranges shown in the legend do not extend past tenths of a percent. The ranges are inclusive of the lower number and exclusive of the higher. For example, a Census Block that is exactly 15.0% Hispanic is excluded from the "0.0 to 15.0%" range and included in the "15.0% to 30.0%" range. The only exception is the highest-value range (for example, "75.0% to 100%"), which includes both the lower and the higher values. Of course, the redistricting process will not make any changes to the City's incorporated boundaries and none of the areas shown as outside of the district boundaries will be included in any proposed district.
