Wymer Publishing Uriah Heep A Visual Biography Martin Popoff With Kevin Julie on images Publication date: 16th April 2021 RRP: £59.99 ISBN: 978-1-912782-56-7 Hardback: 297 x 210mm, 240pp. The publication of Martin Popoff’s Uriah Heep: A Visual Biography is something of a bitter‐sweet I event given the recent news. Following the very sad loss of Lee Kerslake in September 2020, Popoff — having interviewed various band members over the past few years — was all set to conduct another interview with Ken Hensley in mid‐ November when the tragic news of Ken’s sudden departure reached Heep fans around the world. Undeterred, the decision that had already been made to immortalise Uriah Heep with a comprehensive visual biography remained. RELEASE Popoff’s celebrated and detailed timeline takes us through more than fifty years of massive rock history from this much‐loved band. From the early days with legendary front man David Byron, through the John Lawton years; the John Sloman and Pete Goalby fronted periods and from 1986 with Bernie Shaw taking centre stage; all eras are comprehensively covered. This differs from previous Uriah Heep books with the inclusion of so many previously unpublished photos, along with rare memorabilia and artefacts that makes this an indispensable addition to the vast Uriah Heep catalogue. • Saiichi Sugiyama Band Epk 2016
SAIICHI SUGIYAMA BAND EPK (July 2016) British blues-rock guitarist Saiichi Sugiyama and his band are touring the UK in September 2016 ahead of their new album release next year. Saiichi Sugiyama Band is a group of musicians hailing from Surrey/London that harks back to the halcyon days of rock and soul, 1965-1974, brought together in 2010 by the guitarist/composer Saiichi [pronounced: “sigh-eee- chee”], who has a career spanning 25 years as a solo artist in the British blues scene. The core of the group is Rietta Austin (lead vocals), Saiichi Sugiyama (guitar/vocals/composer), Ben Reed (bass guitar) and Mune Sugiyama (producer/arranger/drums). When playing live, the group are augmented by touring musicians including Stuart Dixon (rhythm guitar), Katrin Yr (lead vocals) and Wez Johnson (drums). The former members Lizzie Hibbert (lead vocals) and Dave Munch Moore (keys) also record with the group in studio. The group has been spending the past months working on their new studio album in various recording studios, a follow up to the studio live album “the Smokehouse Sessions” from 2014. The new album will include a track entitled “Melting Away”, written by Saiichi and featuring the late bass hero Andy Fraser, ex-Free and composer of the 1970 smash single, “All Right Now.” The initial inspiration for “Melting Away” came to Saiichi while on a trip to his native Japan. To Saiichi the melody was reminiscent of Free guitarist Paul Kossoff, who died in 1976. Creating a demo when he returned home to the UK, Saiichi came up with bass parts that brought Free bassman Andy Fraser to mind.

  • Colosseum – 5 X Live in Concert – Restored & Remastered in 2020
Und was vermutlich noch erheblich wichtiger ist: von keinem Geringeren remastered and restored as from our very own Joachim Heinz Ehrig alias Eroc! Colosseum – Live At The Boston Tea Party (49:27, CD, Repertoire Records 2020) It was indeed „The Summer of ’69“ (13.08.69)!
