Mumbai, 25th December, 2010: Tees Maar Khan has truly captured the box office this holiday season! Co-produced by UTV Motion Pictures, Three’s Company and Hari Om Entertainment, the film has grossed over Rs. 18 crores (netting over Rs 14 crores) in India on the opening day!

Released in over 2300 screens worldwide, the film has taken the global box office by storm. In the key overseas markets, which include US, UK and Gulf, the movie has grossed more than Rs. 5 crores even before its Friday opening, just on paid previews and pre sales of territories!

Opening day numbers from overseas indicate that the film is creating records already: • Highest opening day ever in Australia & counting • One of the highest openings in the Gulf • Record opening for an Akshay Kumar film in the US • Third highest paid previews grosser ever for an Indian film in the UK

The film has a clear run in theatres and with this positive momentum and the festive season, it is well on track to emerge as one of the top opening weeks of all time in Indian cinema!
