New Media, or digitally generated art, has become a paradigm for artists concerned with entering and mediating our relationship to technology while underscoring the increasingly surrogate experience technology affords in its supplanting of human relationships and interactions. As with any term associated with technology, New Media’s definition is constantly outdated, expanded, and updated.
