Jan. 6, 2011- On the heels of the December 14th launch of Freebox Revolution in Europe, , the company will be presenting its new, smart IPTV platform based on the the Intel® Atom™ processor CE4100, at Intel Booth 7153 during CES.

Embedded with the Intel Atom processor CE4100 and featuring a Blu-ray player, Freebox Revolution is an innovative new IPTV- based, set top box that is designed to provide consumers with a triple-play capabilities – phone, and digital TV – through one box in the living room. The Freebox also offer a vast community of developers the opportunity to build a software ecosystem applications will be available through an open application store called the Freestore and can be stored on an internal 250Gb disk. Moreover, the Internet will be wholly enabled with the Freebox through a full web browser. All these technologies are designed to offer the user an interactive smart TV experience, from watching TV to playing games and surfing the Internet.

The Freebox Revolution was designed by world renowned designer Philippe Starck and developed by the Freebox engineering team in cooperation with Intel’s Interactive & Experience Research Group. The goal is to provide functionality which will be integrated into the interactive television ecosystem of the smart TV.
