So, before someone starts chucking javelins in my direction, we had better begin… Back in 2012 Sleep Games by Pye Corner Audio quickly established itself as one of the most engaging and enthralling albums of modern times. On the record, ghostly electroncia, John Carpenter style synths, and epic, ambient soundscapes converged to create a body of work which still sounds awe-inspiringly beautiful today. After the melancholy acid of his Head Technician reissue last month, Martin Jenkins returns to his Pye Corner Audio alias late August with the haunted landscapes of the Stasis LP.

POETS OF THE FALL John Dee | Søndag 17. mars Helsinki-bandet Poets of the Fall har i 15 år gledet fansen med sin miks av post-grunge, indie og symfonisk rock – og er straks aktuelle med sitt nye album «Ultraviolet» og påfølgende turné. Marko, Olli, Captain Jaska, Jani og Jari startet på sitt musikalske eventyr i 2003. De fikk millioner av lyttere og internasjonal oppmerksomhet allerede med sin første single «Late Goodbye», skrevet for pc-spillet Max Payne 2. Debutalbumet «Signs of Life» gikk rett til topps på hitlistene i hjemlandet. Siden har de gitt ut en rekke album, og deres siste utgivelse «Clearview» fra 2016, produsert av Stefan Boman, nådde topp ti på en rekke internasjonale lister. I år har Poets of the Fall returnert til studio for å jobbe på nytt materiale til deres kommende album «Ultraviolet», som kommer i oktober.
