Artikel menjabarkan bagaimana kelompok virtual ini memiliki norma untuk konteks luar jaringan bernama fun culture serta memiliki norma untuk konteks dalam jaringan bernama generalized reciprocity melalui paradigma netnografi. Kedua norma itu ditunjukkan dengan diskusi rutin anggota dalam berkendara di Gran Turismo (GT). Hasilnya, virtual gemeinschaft ini dianalisis melalui analogi fisikal atomik: atom menjadi struktur sosial, arus rotasi menjadi aktivitas diskusi, kutub positif merupakan pendiskusi alias thread starter, dan kutub negatif merupakan komentator. Maka, artikel menyimpulkan bahwa keseimbangan sosial tersebut menyebabkan dampak bagi GTIDC untuk memelihara inklusi sosial bagi para anggotanya. Studi menetapkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial seperti Facebook dapat mendiktekan fenomena sosial budaya seperti yang demikian. In this project, we consider the task of autonomous car racing in the top-selling car racing game Gran Turismo Sport. Gran Turismo Sport is known for its detailed physics simulation of various cars and tracks. Our approach makes use of maximum-entropy deep reinforcement learning and a new reward design to train a sensorimotor policy to complete a given race track as fast as possible. We evaluate our approach in three different time trial settings with different cars and tracks. Our results show that the obtained controllers not only beat the built-in non-player character of Gran Turismo Sport, but also outperform the fastest known times in a dataset of personal best lap times of over 50,000 human drivers. Tere’s no denying the fun you can have as a virtual racer in Gran Turismo, if you don’t mind the trade-of against domestic harmony. But racing in virtual reality was never really about fun for the supremely focused David Perel. Becoming a professional driver has been this 31-year-old Capetonian’s goal since he was barely old enough to grasp the controls on his PlayStation handset. Today, Perel drives for Kessel Ferrari in one of most competitive leagues in the world, the Blancpain GT Endurance Series. His story is one of drive, ambition and countless hours of gaming. And he credits his virtual success on his PlayStation with jumpstarting his real-life career. “I learnt more on a PlayStation than I did in fve years of real driving,” says Perel. Te 31-year-old has just returned from another successful run with the Kessel Ferrari team in Europe and is living proof that video games can be good for you. Real-life racing was always going to be Perel’s thing. He started out in karting and, by age 15, was competing for the western province karting championship.
