Halbrook 1 At the SAHS Annual Meeting on October 7, 2006, this author presented his new book, The Swiss and the Nazis: How the Alpine Republic Survived in the Shadow of the Third Reich (Casemate 2006). 2 To give the reader a panorama of the book's contents, the following provides sample excerpts from each chapter of the book.
