GREG LEWIS STEPPING UP Since backup center Ibrahima Diallo went out with an injury, starting center Greg Lewis has seen both his workload and production increase. In the past four games, Lewis has averaged 28.3 minutes per game, after averaging 15.9 minutes per game with Diallo healthy. In that four-game span, Lewis has averaged 7.8 points and 9.8 rebounds. In his first 10 games, Lewis was averaging 3.2 points and 3.7 rebounds. He also has his three best rebounding games of the year (14,10,9) in this stretch.

OMARI GRIER ON FIRE Graduate transfer Omari Grier gradually acclimated to the Rutgers lineup. A noted long-distance sharpshooter, Grier scored just 41 points in his first 11 games (3.7 ppg) and was 6-of-15 from 3-point distance. In the past two games, Grier has caught fire, and has been RU’s leading scorer twice. He scored 22 points vs. UMass Lowell and 20 vs. Indiana, for a combined 42 points, more than he scored in the first 11 games combined. He is 9-of-13 (69.2 percent) on three-pointers in the last two games.
