Watertown Daily Times December 31, 2018 Monday Section Four End of Some Eras, Start of Others Marked 2018
1 WATERTOWN DAILY TIMES December 31, 2018 MONDAY Section Four End of some eras, start of others marked 2018 By the Daily Times staff In 2018, some storied eras came to a close while others were just beginning. For the Green Bay Packers, a second straight season miss- ing the playoffs cost longtime head coach Mike McCarthy his job. His tenure will be best re- membered for the team’s fourth Super Bowl championship won in 2010. The downward slide could be attributed to injuries, underperforming draft picks over a long period of time or coaching, or all of them. Re- gardless, back-to-back seasons of missing the playoffs with one of the best quarterbacks in the game in Aaron Rodgers was unacceptable in Titletown. The Badgers took a step back both on the men’s basketball court and the gridiron. Wiscon- sin’s football team is used to playing in January bowl games and finished last season last year with a late December bowl game. The same was true this year. For anyone who remem- bers Badger football before Barry Alvarez arrived in 1993, these are still the good days with a high bar. The men’s basketball team enjoyed a run similar to the football team but finally saw its run of NCAA Tournament appearances come to a close in DAILY TIMES 2018. The Badgers will hope- fully start a new streak of par- Dodgeland junior Ryan Neu became the third wrestler in school history to win a state championship when he won the Division ticipating in March Madness in 3 title at 170 pounds at the WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament on Feb. -

Phenom – Lets Play Basketball
UW DRAFT - 9/20/10 Jim Plautz 2 Working Draft! This is an ―example‖ of how the original ―Phenom Book‖ can be customized for any University. Help me make this better! Chapters 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10 have been customized. Someone at the University should review and approve these chapters. Chapters 4 & 6 also appear in the Book 1 (Phen0m - Let‘s Play Basketball)‘ Appendix Additions and changes are welcomed. Pictures and Photos have been copied from various internet websites including UWBadgers.com. The University will provide the photos they would like to use in the book. Licensing issues will be resolved. I have put the UW Bucky logo in the front cover and photos that are probably covered by licensing agreements, for discussion purposes. The University may decide not to use their Logo or provide new photos that they already have the rights to use. Universities may choose from several Marketing plans; 1. Purchase the two Phenom Books for a flat fee and market the books as they choose; 2. Market the Books internally and pay the author a royalty. 3. Sell advertising spots (in Magazines and Emails) to the author and earn advertising and licensing revenues. 4. Some combination of the above.
