In accordance with Oregon Governor Brown’s Executive Order 20-12 Stay Home, Save Lives requiring social distancing measures for public or private gatherings outside the home, a site distance plan requiring at least six feet between individuals must be maintained at all times (See Article 1, section A). Oregon also requires all humans to wear a cloth mask when in public places when other humans may be within six feet of each other. Failure to do so will be considered misconduct prejudicial to the interests of the sport and may result in expulsion from this event and a bench hearing for possible sanction by AKC.

Awards of Merit The judge may at her discretion recall into the ring up to 10% of Best of Breed entries to receive an Award of Merit Rosette offered by MISA. These Awards are reserved for those quality animals the judge feels worthy of final consideration for BOB

AKC NATIONAL OWNER-HANDLED SERIES The AKC National Owner-Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners that are not professional handlers. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner-Handled eligible at the time of entry on the entry form. Dogs entered in the Amateur-Owner-Handler class will automatically be marked as eligible to compete in the NOHS. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the judge’s book, steward’s book & the catalog. Professional handlers, household members and current assistants to professional handlers may not exhibit. Dogs must be handled by an eligible owner/handler for the AKC NOHS throughout the breed level (all classes, Winners, and Best of Breed) competition. Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non- regular classes. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP CLASSES Juniors must have an AKC Junior Handler Number to enter this competition. Classes not divided by age. Novice class for Junior Handlers who have not won three First Places with competition at a point show Open class for Junior Handlers who have won at least three First Places in the Novice class described above Master Class for Junior Handlers who have won 10 first place wins in an Open Class with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition.

Puppy & Veteran Sweepstakes The Sweepstakes is open to all Irish who are six month and under 18 months of age on the day of the show. Specific Sweepstakes Classes must be given on entry blank in space marked “Additional Class’ as Sweepstakes Dog or Bitch and proper age classification. Puppy Sweepstakes Classes Puppy 6 months & under 9 months, Puppy 9 months and under 12 months, Junior 12 months and under 18 months All classes divided by sex. Puppies must be entered in a regular class at this event. Veteran Sweepstakes Classes Veteran 7 years & under 10 years, Veteran 10 years & older All classes divided by sex. Veterans not required to be entered in another class at this event, may be neutered.

Sweepstakes Funds Distribution Club retains 25% of total sweepstakes entry fees to defray expenses. The remaining 75% shall be known as the Sweepstakes Fund to be distributed as follows (rounded to the nearest dollar amount). CONFORMATION ENTRY FEES $30 for first entry, additional entry for same dog $20 $20 for puppy classes for each show, (6 months to under 9 months and 9 months to under 12 months); Junior Showmanship $10 each entry, dog need not be entered in another class Puppy Sweepstakes $20 each entry, Puppies must be entered in regular conformation class Veteran Sweepstakes $20 entry, veterans need not be entered in regular conformation class AKC FEES AKC Assesses recording and event service fees that are included in the entry fee and paid to AKC. Each entry includes an AKC Recording Fee of $.50 and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3 for each class in which a dog is entered. See AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 2.

Make all Checks or Money Orders payable in US Funds to My Dogs Gym. The Event Secretary assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail. Photocopied entries without the AKC agreement on the back or attached are NOT acceptable. Returned checks or declined credit card transactions do not constitute a valid entry fee.

Changes, Additions or Corrections to entry forms must be received in writing or by email prior to the close of entries. Telephone changes, additions, corrections received by telephone are not acceptable See Rules applying to Dog Shows for descriptions of classes and eligibility requirements

Returned Checks/Declined Transactions The Event Secretary will add a $25 service charge for each returned check or declined credit card transaction. Subsequent invalid payments from the same exhibitor may result in being placed on a CASH ONLY basis. Refunds Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused or barred from competition by the action of the Event Committee. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot be opened or completed by reason of riots, civil disturbance, fire, an act of God, public emergency, an act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Move-ups and Transfers will be accepted for these events but must be received by the trial secretary no later than Wednesday September 16, 2020, if mailed. After that time, hand delivered move-ups or transfers will be accepted until 30 minutes prior to the start of judging for each specialty.

How to get there from show site: Left unto Ehlen Rd to I-5 Northbound, 10.5 miles to Exit 289 Nyberg St. Go left unto Tualatin-Sherwood Rd. Go over the freeway and keep left toward Sherwood/City Center. Turn left onto SW Nyberg St. Then Left onto SW Martinazzi Av. Turn right onto SW Warm Springs St, then right onto SW Tonka St. If you reach McDonalds you went too far. Approximately 17 minutes, 14 miles

Exhibitors should follow their own veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.

How to get there from show site: Left unto Ehlen Rd to I-5 Northbound, 10.5 miles to Exit 289 Nyberg St. Keep right at the fork in the ramp and merge onto SW Nyberg St. Nyberg becomes SW 65th Av. Turn left, then take first right onto Meridian Park Hospital and follow signs to ER. About 16 minutes, 13.9 miles

About the Show Site This is a working farm owned by Judy Chambers, a Labrador breeder. There is adequate space for oversize vehicles day of the show, but no overnight parking. There is restroom access in the house for humans, a covered area with power if needed for grooming. The show ring will be on grass. Please bring your own water and chairs.

Directions to Show Site From I-5 Either Direction Take exit 278, Aurora/Donald. Go west off the exit (towards Pilot truck stop) onto Ehlen Rd. Go 2.2 miles and turn RIGHT into driveway for 10184 Ehlen Rd NE. There will be an orange cone and balloons marking the entry. There is a pond at the top of the driveway. Go straight back to the yellow building. You may park anywhere in the gravel. If you need directions, call Judy C. 503-705-7099. RV Parking – Champoeg State Park, St. Paul, is off the same exit as well as the truck stops. There is RV dump site at the Charbonneau waysides on I-5 just north of the Aurora exit either direction on I-5. Hotel accommodations available in Newberg or Woodburn.
