Marks: 100 Time allowed: 20 minutes Pass Marks: 35% Lectures: 75 Internal Assesment : 25 Marks INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PRACTICAL EXAMINERS The Practical Examination will be conducted by a Board of Examiners consisting of Head of the department/Nominee, Internal Teacher and External Experts as per decision of the Syndicate (25.10.91 Para 2.3) The paper will consists of four sections as under: Section A - Assignments - 25 marks Section B - Detailed Ragaas - 30 marks Section C - Non-detailed Ragaas - 10 marks Section D - Hindustani Singing Styles - 10 marks 1. Ten Shabad compositions with proper Gaayaki prescribed ragas and Candidate should have brief introduction of other ragas: Kanrha, Jaijawanti, Sorath, Bihagrha, Gujri, Todi, Asa, Tilang, Tilang Kafi, Maru, Wadhans, Siree, Dhanasari, Jaitsree, Tukhari, Gaurhi Bhairo, Mali Gaurha. 2. Ability to perform one of the following with proper Gayaki : Dadra, Tarana, Chaturang, Tirvat 3. Ability to recognized ragas asked by the examiner 4. Ability to demonstrate Ekgun, Dugun, Tigun, Layakaries of the following talas: Dhamaar, Chaartaal, Soolfaak, Phrodast, Jagpal Taal, Jai Taal, Mat Taal, Vikram Taal, Beer Taal, Amar Taal, Kharhag Taal, Kehrva Taal, Dadra Taal, Dhamaar.
