Lot 621 621 CO (B) 1871 large piece (200x143mm) from a registered parcel to Kent with remarkable Three-Issue franking (faults) of VDL Imperf 4d & Perf 10 1d x2 and 'TASMANIA' Imperf 6d & 1/- (cut-to-shape) all tied by BN '63' of New Norfolk, private 'BOURNBANK/Parish of/Wellington' h/s & 'N NORFOLK/22 4 71' 's provisional h/s, sloping 'TOO-LATE' h/s applied at Hobart, a few repaired edge-tears & parts of the address label removed with the registration ribbon. Endorsed "Printed Book with Photographs..." & signed "Molesworth Jeffery" which permitted mailing at the concessional rate for a "book packet" + 6d registration. Ex Tom Frommer: acquired at Mossgreen on 4.4.2017 for $3840. [The rate was 2d per 1oz letter rate x157 + 3d per ½oz airmail surcharge x314 + 3d registration + 2d late fee for registered articles = £5/5/1d.
