Mon 19 October 2020 BATHURST TO (D) Depart at 7.40am on the XPT heading to Albury on arrival make your way to our hotel for the next 6 nights.

Tue 20 October 2020 ALBURY - LAKE HUME – WONGA WETLANDS – FLYING FRUIT FLY CIRCUS (B,L,D) Departing at 9.00am, for a sightseeing tour of the City of Albury including Dean Street with its historical buildings and the War Memorial etc followed by a short drive via the Highway to the water playgrounds of Lake Hume. Take a stroll to the Hume Wall, a triumph of engineering, and see some of the steam engines and hand tools used to build it. We return to Albury, for a light lunch before this afternoon visits the Wonga Wetlands, a stunning example of environmental management. Enjoy a guided tour of this unique environmental and ecological experience featuring a diverse array of native flora and fauna. Next, stop for a flying visit to the Flying Fruit Fly Training Centre, ’s premier youth circus and a global one- of- a- kind. It offers a unique learning environment for young people aged 8-18 – be inspired by their energy and versatility in this training venue.

Wed 21 October 2020 YARRAWONGA – CRUISE LAKE MULWALA (B,L,D) Departing at 9.00am, an easy day today as we travel via the Riverina Highway to Corowa, the town of Federation, Corowa has the distinction of being called “the Birthplace of Federation” as it is here at the local Courthouse, that the 1893 Federation Conference took place and the decision was made to draw up a constitution for a new nation. First visit the Corowa ‘Tree of Life’ Community Garden for morning tea, followed by a tour of the gardens, and celebrate the efforts of the volunteers that have made this community-led initiative come to life. Continue onto Yarrawonga and here, board the “M.V.Paradise Queen” luxury cruise boat and enjoy a delicious BBQ luncheon cruise on the lake. Experience good old hospitality, relive the history, and enjoy the peace and tranquility of beautiful Lake Mulwala and the Mighty . Following the cruise, return to Mulwala and relive bygone days at the Pioneer Museum and browse the memorabilia depicting the history of Yarrawonga / Mulwala and surrounding districts along the Murray.

Thu 22 October 2020 JINDERA & FREE AFTERNOON (B,L,D) An earlier departure today at 8.00am head north to Jindera where we will wander through the past at the award- winning Jindera Pioneer Museum Complex. The museum consists of several buildings such as Post Office, village store, slab hut and 19th century residence, filled with charm, displays and memorabilia. Enjoy Devonshire tea at the Museum before returning to Albury by a scenic drive arriving back for free time for lunch. This afternoon you will be to explore Albury by yourself, take a walk down to the Botanical Gardens or simply enjoy some retail therapy.

Culcairn was a major rail junction during the era of steam trains. Visit the heritage-listed Station House Museum to uncover intriguing railway history and memorabilia. The museum is housed in an impressive two-storey building, which was the home to 17 stations masters and their families from 1883 to 1979. Next visit Spirit of the Land, Lockhart, in the beautiful Riverina region of southwestern NSW, is known as the Verandah Town. Stroll along its pretty streets, past lovingly restored buildings with ornate iron lacework verandas and you’ll soon see why. See the Doris Golder Wool Art Gallery - ...wool! Yes, these amazing pictures are created using washed and combed natural wool. They are the only pictures of their type in the world... Lunch today will be at Lockhart before travelling a short distance to the Marrocka Emu Farm, an interesting new attraction which definitely warrants a visit. The farm is beautifully located in the hills near The Rock, where they raised approximately 200 emus. These emus are marketed for their leather, feathers, meat, and most importantly their oil. The tour covers the stages from the incubation of chicks to adult breeding and a talk on the industry history followed by a delicious afternoon tea. After a memorable day return to Albury arriving approximately 5pm

Sat 24 October 2020 HOLBROOK DAY TOUR (B,L,D) Departing at 8.30am we travel via the to Holbrook “The Submarine Town”, once known as Germanton. On arrival at Holbrook’s Heritage Precinct area, for a trip back in time, visit one of the best rural museums in the state, the Woolpack Inn Museum, built in 1895 and home to remnants of the districts living history, with its collection of period furniture and furnishings, horse drawn vehicles and farm machinery. Walk to and board the miniature train for a fun ride around Ten Mile Creek Botanic Gardens. Visit the National Museum of Australian Pottery and a unique opportunity to further our knowledge and appreciation of early Australian pottery heritage. Enjoy two course lunch at the Holbrook RSL or J & B’s Gourmet Café in the main street of Holbrook. Board our coach and travel to the northern end of town and wander in the park and view the HMAS Otway, the unique submarine interpretative centre. Stop awhile and you’ll become “submerged” in the town’s history. The Submarine Museum housing photographs, submarine components and mock areas of the submarine interior such as engine room, galley and living quarters is now open and worth a visit. Return route takes us to Morven, see the original Cobb and Co stables, then onto Culcairn and to Albury arriving approximately 5.00pm
