The UEFA Champions League gets up and running on Tuesday and Wednesday with the start of the Group stages.
Every game will be available across the network with English Commentary. Richard Keys, Andy Gray and guests including Alan Shearer, Ruud Gullit, Christain Vieri, Didi Hamann will have two hours pre kick off and one hour post studio on both nights to make sure you do not miss a kick or story. All the action gets underway on HD 11 at 20:00 MECCA with Kick Off at 21:45 MECCA.
On Tuesday from 20:00 MECCA on 11 HD we’ll build up to PSV vs Man Utd. Memphis Depay makes a swift return to his former club. Louis van Gaal last won this trophy in 1995 with Ajax. 20 years on can his present club make a strong start to their European campaign? From 2130 MECCA on 12 HD the focus of attention will be on Real Madrid vs Shakhatar Donestk.
Wednesday evening on 11 HD at 2000 MECCA we’ll review all of Tuesday night’s action and bring you live coverage of Dinamo Zagreb vs Arsenal. On 12 HD from 2130 MECCA the centre piece will be European Champions Barcelona’s trip to Serie A side Roma.
To complement our live coverage there’s a brand new series UEFA Champions League Heroes on 11 HD. Monday at 1730 MECCA Dwight Yorke looks back at Man Utd’s incredible 1999 campaign. On Wednesday Paul Lambert discusses Borussia Dortmund’s unlikely triumph in 1997 at 1730 MECCA.
Thursday night is all about the Europa League. Our two live matches on 11 HD are Bordeaux vs Liverpool (2000 MECCA) followed by Tottenham vs Qarabag (205 MECCA).
