Resumo: A diversidade de aracnídeos foi estudada na Serra de Santa Catarina, um brejo de altitude localiza-se no município de São José da Lagoa Tapada, Paraíba. O objetivo desse estudo foi conhecer a composição, riqueza e abundância da aracnofauna na Serra de Santa Catarina. As coletas ocorreram em agosto de 2013 e janeiro de 2014, em períodos de 9 dias consecutivos em cada data. Utilizaram- se os métodos de busca ativa, noturna e diurna e armadilha de interceptação e queda pitfall (AQI). Registrou-se um total de 473 aracnídeos de cinco ordens: Araneae, Scorpiones, Amblypygi, Acarina e Opiliones, distribuídos em 22 famílias, 38 gêneros e 57 espécies. Araneae registrou 371 aranhas, distribuídas em 17 famílias, 30 gêneros e 50 espécies. Scorpiones registrou 96 indivíduos, da família Buthidae e 2 gêneros. Changes in vegetation structure can alter the physical habitat structure, thermal environment, and food available to arthropods, which play an important role in the structure and functioning of Arctic ecosystems. Not only do they provide key ecosystem services such as pollination and nutrient cycling, they are an essential food source for migratory birds. In this study I examined the relationships between the abundance, diversity, and community composition of arthropods and the height and cover of several shrub species across a tundra-shrub gradient in northwestern Alaska. To characterize nestling diet of common passerines that occupy this gradient, I used next-generation sequencing of fecal matter. Willow cover was strongly and consistently associated with abundance and biomass of arthropods and significant shifts in arthropod community composition and diversity.

The spiders can colonize and become established in these new ecosystems and acquire synanthropic habits. We review all the records of synanthropic spiders found in Chile, including published literature and sporadic collecting mainly undertaken from 2010 to 2013 in different parts of the country. Here we define four types of environments that these spiders can be use: peridomestic habitats, domestic habitats, agrosystems and rural areas. Finally we compare the results of this study with the synanthropic spider faunas from other countries of America. Key words: Araneae, spiders , anthropogenic , synanthropic , houses , Chile.     Frigga C.L. Koch, 1850 Taxonomy Frigga is a South American genus. One species, Frigga crocuta has extended its range across the Pacific to Australia. Further information on the genus and described species can be found in Richardson and Żabka (2017). Description Examples of live Frigga Frigga spp. are medium-sized spiders, length 8 to 9mm, with an ovate abdomen. The head, Illustrator (and ©) M. Eastman viewed from above, is pear-shaped, widest well behind the posterior lateral eyes. The carapace is very high. Chelicera have a single (unident) retromarginal tooth and two promarginal teeth. The first leg is similar in shape to the other legs. The fourth pair of legs are longest. The male’s palp is distinctly different from those of other Australian genera. The tibia has a pair of long, sharp apophyses with hooked tips. The tegulum is very long and narrow with lateral and posterior lobes. A long, thin embolus arises on the distal edge of the tegulum. The female’s epigyne is covered by a shield with the copulatory openings towards the centre. The spermathecae are roundish, located near the epigastric fold. We present the results of various captures at northern Chile, on this base we extend the list of species known to the northern of Chile to 56 species representing 45 genera and 25 families. We provide distributional data and the principal habitats and microhabitat of the species found. Bolívar, Caribbean coast, Choco, new faunistics data, Sucre Introduction The tribe Aelurillini Simon, 1901, currently includes at least 500 species, 51 genera and 3 subtribes (Maddison 2015). Of these subtribes, Freyina Edwards, 2015, is most diverse with 26 genera, distributed exclusively in the Neotropical region. The Freyina has been a focus of study by Galiano (1961, 1968, 1970, 1978, 1979a, b, c, 1981a, b, c, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1994, 1995, 2000, 2001) and was reviewed and expanded by Edwards (2015). One of the newer genera in this subtribe is Xanthofreya Edwards, 2015, a genus that includes five species, all described for both sexes and ranging from Guatemala to Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil (Edwards, 2015; World Spider Catalog, 2017).
