The original tale follows two childhood friends who are separated when the boy, Kay, gets splinters from a shattered demonic mirror stuck in his eye and his heart, and runs away with a mysterious and powerful woman called the Snow Queen. The Snow Queen 's story seemed tailor-made for adaptation into a Disney movie, Frozen: Snow Days! by the time it made it to the Frozen: Snow Days! screen the story was substantially changed. Frozen instead followed two princess sisters who are driven apart when the older sister, Elsa Idina Menzelaccidentally unleashes her magical ice powers and flees the kingdom. The younger sister, Anna Kristen Bellresolves to bring Elsa home and break Frozen: Snow Days! ice spell Frozen: Snow Days! over Arendelle, and there are also friendly trolls, a talking snowman, and a wicked prince in the mix. So, how exactly did The Snow Queen become Frozen? Disney's first planned adaptation of The Snow Queen did eventually get made - though not by Disney. Inproducer Samuel Goldwyn came up with the idea to make a movie about Hans Christian Andersen that would feature several of his stories. The Snow Queen was among the stories that Disney's Frozen: Snow Days! were developing. The film went into active development in and continued untilwhen production was interrupted by the United States' entry into World War II and a shift of focus towards military propaganda which wasn't exactly a big theme in Andersen's stories. The project was shelved for the duration of the war, and that's where the collaboration between Goldwyn and Disney ended. What followed was a long hiatus Frozen: Snow Days! Disney's take on The Snow Queenuntil the idea re-emerged at the end of the century. The Snow Queen returned to the development Frozen: Snow Days! in the late s, initially with plans for hand-drawn animation. Artists at Disney began visually developing ideas for the new film, and a revolving door of potential creative leads lined up to lead it. One of the creatives who worked on developing The Snow Frozen: Snow Days! at Disney was Glen Keane, a character animator who worked on several Disney Renaissance movies, and who went on to Frozen: Snow Days! the visuals for Tangled. Keane worked on The Snow Queen for several years, with plans to direct the movie, and it was around this time that Disney settled into the idea of making it CG animated rather than hand-drawn. The animation style would reportedly have been similar to that of the "Steadfast Tin Soldier" sequence in Fantasia However, Keane's version of the film never came to fruition, and he quit the project in Its root goes way, way deep, frighteningly deep. Disney continued to pursue the idea Frozen: Snow Days! a Snow Queen movie even after Keane's departure. James B. Stewart's book DisneyWar recounts a creative meeting of Disney's feature animation team where Snow Queen was discussed. At that time, the idea in play was for a Taming of the Shrew -type story where the Snow Queen freezes the hearts of her many suitors before finally having her own heart melted by a "regular guy. However, the project was cancelled just a few months later. Jim Hill Media reports hearing two different explanations Frozen: Snow Days! this from Disney insiders: straightforward budget concerns about the cost of shutting down Tokyo Frozen: Snow Days! current show and building the expensive sets and visual effects The Snow Queen would require; and Disney's renewed desire to develop The Snow Queen as an animated movie rather than a stage musical. Like the many attempts before it, however, Frozen: Snow Days! ultimately fizzled out. The roots of Frozen as we know it today can be Frozen: Snow Days! in Frozen co-director Chris Buck's original planned adaptation, Anna and the Snow Queenwhich entered development in As Frozen: Snow Days! title suggests, it was this version that changed Gerda's name to Anna but kept the idea of her going on a rescue mission to the Snow Queen's palace.

We are always grateful to the support of publishers that send the CCBC review copies for our book examination collection, and know that this past year publishing staff were navigating their own unique challenges when it comes to sending review copies and appreciate those who managed to keep shipments coming in one way or another. We had no access to the CCBC from mid-March until July; during that time, shipments to campus buildings were suspended and instead held at a central campus location. We are thankful to our School of Education colleagues who picked up mail from that location, including the often heavy publisher shipments for the CCBC, and delivered them to the Teacher Education building where the CCBC is located. This meant that when we finally had limited access to the CCBC in July, we were able to begin immediately unpacking and cataloging books. We could not keep up with processing and cataloging all of those books, and many other tasks and projects related to CCBC Choices, our diversity statistics, and more, without our student staff. Like everything else, their work looked different for much of 2020 but remained—and remains—essential to the CCBC.

    CHAPTER II REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE The review of related literature is very important. It is a basic theory concerning with the formulation problems and the goal of the research. The review below consists of moral value, movie, review of movie studies and review of previous studies. A. Moral Value This sub-chapter will discuss the definition of moral in general, the definition of value in general, the definition of moral value, and types of moral value. 1. The Definition of Moral Moral is important in the society. Moral is about the good and bad human behavior. A good behavior will carry into a good life. According to Earle (1992), Moral is almost synonymous with ethics. Ethics and moral have meaning usage, character, personality, manner. Every people has different moral in the daily life. So, to keep the peace in the society, it can be attained by respecting another with their morality. The morality is one of the human characteristic. People could live in peace together in the world if they could control their morality. The opinion also clarified Sigelman (1995) into 3 components of morality: 10 11 a. An Affective, or emotional component, consisting of the feeling (guilt concern for other feeling and so on) that surround right or wrong action and that motivate moral thoughts and actions. b. A cognitive component, centering on the way we conceptualize right and wrong and make a decision about how to behave. c. A behavioral component, reflecting how we actually behave when. For example, we experience the temptation to cheat or are called upon to help a needy person.
