Yogen Jethi New Delhi State Snooker Champion

One of our Members, Mr.Yogen Jethi who learnt snooker at our club and has improved his game consistently in the last twenty years, has recently won the New Delhi State Championship (2012). The tournament was held at the National Sports Club of , New Delhi in September 2012 and as many as sixty four players participated from all over the Capital. Initially, a knock-out format was followed till four players remained, after which the form was changed to that of league matches wherein each player played against the other three. In this format Yogen emerged victorious by defeating all three opponents to secure the number one position. It is pertininent to mention that this is the first time he has achieved this distinction and the first time a Member has brought this honour to our Club. It seems that the added facilities of Billiards and Snooker, have paid rich dividends. CongratulationsY ogen! We look forward to lessons from you!! -Gangesh Khaitan
