Champagne, Wine & Spirits Provisioning CHAMPAGNE, WINE & SPIRITS MONTENEGRO, SUMMER 2019 Updated: 28 April 2019 A STOCK OF 100,000 BOTTLES 2 There is a lot of choice among the more than 100,000 bottles currently held in stock here in Montenegro. It’s not just Bordeaux, Burgundy and SuperTuscans ― although there is a lot of that ― but a really diverse range of wine. You can find some lovely wines from other regions of France and Italy, some amazing German and Spanish wine, as well as an incredibly delicious sake (Sōtō Junmai Daiginjo) and what is probably the world’s finest Tequila (Fortaleza). A SIMPLE DELIVERY PROCESS There are no more restrictions on timing and quantity when you provision wine and spirits. Boats no longer need to provide documentation or wait for customs inspections. It’s as simple as this: Step 1: You order. Step 2: We deliver. So please have a look through this catalogue and let us know what you want ― and where you want it ― and we will bring the wine to you. NEED HELP CHOOSING SOMETHING? Don’t hesitate to ring or email us. Our local wine consultant has extensive experience with wine, holds the WSET Diploma and would be delighted to help you find great pairings for your menu, choose some interesting local wines or select a brilliant alternative should we not have a specific request in stock. AVAILABILITY, RETURNS & CORKED BOTTLES All wines are subject to availability. This list is accurate at the date indicated on the cover, but some wines may sell out over the course of the summer. We are happy to advise on current stock levels at any time, and please ask us for a revised copy if necessary. We regret that, once delivered, we cannot accept returns or refunds. However, if a wine is found to be corked (it still happens, sadly, and is a production fault: the result of the primary cork tree being infected with an unpleasent - though harmless - compound called trichloroanisole) please re-seal the bottle with the original cork and return it to us as soon as possible for testing. We will of course replace or refund any legitimately corked bottle. ... AND OF COURSE Please enjoy alcohol responsibly. Never drink and drive (even boats)! The wines are organized primarily by region, though with Champagne and sparkling wines first, and then all rosé, since these categories “transcend” region. As we are often asked for local suggestions, we’ve put together a “best of ” selection of wines from Montenegro and this side of the Adriatic. You probably can’t get these back home, so why not try a few bottles while you’re here? Using an RP-HPLC method the composition of anthocyanins and hydroxycinnamic acids (HCA) in the fresh grapes was analysed. Results of the analysis of anthocyanins show that the Montenegrin grape varieties have the same order of the relative concentration of monoglucosid, non-acylated anthocyanins: Mv-3-gl > Pn-3-gl > Pt-3-gl > Dp-3-gl > Cy-3-gl, but with a different relative amount of anthocyanins in 'Vranac' and 'Kratošija'. The concentration of p-coumarylated derivates was higher than the concentration of acetylated ones in 'Vranac' and 'Kratošija'. In contrary, grapes of the variety 'Cabernet Sau- vignon' have a relatively high amount of acylated derivates and more acetylated anthocyanins than p-coumarylated ones. Therefore the ratio between acetylated and coumarylated anthocyanins varied widely among the varieties: 'Vranac' 0.46, 'Kratošija' 0.15 and 'Cabernet Sauvignon' 2.07.
