How do I get this app?
1. Go into WeChat, click on the magnifying glass on the top right of the screen to search 2. Type in Chinese “防疫健康码国际版” (Pinyin: Fang Yi Jian Kang Ma Guo Ji Ban) 3. Look for it under “Mini Programs”, it should have a blue globe with a heart icon in the middle as a the logo like the picture shown below
On 14-day health pre-registration On April 7th, the CAAC (China Aviation Administration of China) announced that all Chinese Nationals flying from listed 26 countires into China need to register their health daily for 14 days prior to their flight in the designated International Health Code app.
However, non-Chinese nationals have reported that they were requested for this health code at check-in.
For this reason, we highly recommend you to register your health 14 days in advance, regardless of your nationality.
Listed 26 countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, UK, and the US.
On COVID tests 5 days prior to flight to China On July 20th, the CAAC announced that everyone, regardless of nationality or age, is required to have a negative COVID test result (from a list of approved clinics by Chinese embassy in your area) within 5 days of boarding a flight to China. - Chinese Nationals: should upload their COVID test result into this 防疫健康码国际版 app - Foreign Nationals: should bring their test result to the nearest Chinese embassy, the embassy will then issue and stamp a “health declaration form”
The health code within this app and the health declaration form will be checked at the airline check-in counter for your flight bound for China.

What do the various health code types mean:
Red code: you haven’t filled in any Gray code: you haven’t filled in Green code: your health info Green code with an airplane: health info for over 48 hours, or health info for more than 24 filling in is correct and you still you have filled in health info the information you have filled in hours. Please immediately fill in meet the requirements to correctly for 14 days in a row does not meet the requirements info, if the cold turns green then board a flight. and now you are qualified to to board a plane. Change the city within China when you’re traveling
If you can’t see “Health Code” in your Alipay front page See your health code - > type in the search bar above “随申码” (Pinyin – Sui Shen Ma)
* Your Alipay does need to be ID verified, however it does not need to have a Chinese bank account linked to it. * To verify your identification, click “Me” on the bottom right, then click on your name on the top, then “Identity Verification”
Q: How do I register a health code for my child? You won’t be able to do so in Alipay, please use option 3 (cloud health app). They will require a phone number of their own in order to obtain a health code. For very young children, they are typically not requested for a health code, but instead a separate paper form will be available at hospitals or museums.
Q: What if my passport number changed? Can I update it in Alipay? In Alipay, go to “Me” on the bottom right > “Customer Center” > 3rd tab “Account” > How can I change the passport (ID)….
Q: What if my Chinese SIM seems to be deactivated since I haven’t used it in a while? Get a friend in China to go to your mobile provider with a copy of your passport to reactivate the number
Q: I’m newly employed, and this is my first time in China. What if I don’t have a Chinese phone number, what do I do? You won’t need this health code within China immediately. You can still fill in forms at the airport, and when you finish 14 days of quarantine, the doctor assigned to you will provide you with a release paper indicating that you have completed quarantine. While you get your work permit, bank account, and phone number sorted out, this release paper is just as good as the health code on your phone.
