WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE? Dinner and Lunch Cruises: The price includes your meal, entertainment, and the cruise itself. Your meal includes your choice of plated entree prepared to order in our galley. The price does not include additional beverages from the bar, appetizers, or service gratuity. Dinner cruises include a standard dessert selection, which is upgradeable to a premium selection at an additional charge. Dessert is available on lunch cruises at an additional charge.

Brunch Cruises: The price includes unlimited visits to our Northwest brunch buffet, unlimited champagne and sparkling cider, hot coffee/tea, orange juice, the entertainment/narration. The price does not include additional beverages from the bar or service gratuity.

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED ONBOARD? Children are welcome on all cruises except for those cruises specified as limited to age 21 and over. Children age 3 and under are free but we need to know that they are attending. While on board, children are encouraged to participate in the Sailor Training program, where they will learn about the vessel and receive an honorary Captain’s Certificate. Passengers aboard the Outrageous Jet Boat must be at least 42 inches tall.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY? Once a reservation is made, it may not be refunded or transferred to another cruise date. It is acceptable to have another person(s) use your paid reservation if you are unable to attend.

ARE VEGETARIAN MEALS OFFERED? A vegetarian option is regularly available as one of the entrées for plated meal cruises. On buffets, there are always delicious vegetarian items for your dining pleasure. If you have special dining requirements, please let your reservationist know when you make your reservation.

MAY I BRING FOOD ONBOARD? Passengers may not bring outside food or beverages on board any cruise.

WHAT IS THE ENTERTAINMENT LIKE? On most Portland meal cruises, piano entertainment is provided along with singing by the professional singers and wait staff. The Portland Spirit vessel has grand pianos on each interior deck.

WILL I HAVE A PRIVATE TABLE? On the Portland Spirit vessel meal cruise passengers, will have their own table throughout the cruise. We are not able to guarantee that you will have your own table on public cruises aboard the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler. During non-meal cruises, seating is not guaranteed. Seating requests are not accepted for any cruise.

WILL I HAVE A WINDOW SEAT? We cannot guarantee a window seat with standard cruise purchases. However, during the cruise you will have free access to the public areas of the vessel, including the outside observation decks. The “Admiral’s Table” add-on purchase includes a guaranteed window seat. You may purchase this option, if available, in order to guarantee window seating.

WHAT IS THE CAPACITY OF THE SHIP? All vessels in the fleet are inspected and certified by the United States Coast Guard.

The Portland Spirit accommodates up to 340 passengers for a sit-down event. The Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler accommodates up to 160 passengers for a sit-down event. The Willamette Star accommodates up to 100 passengers for a sit-down event. The Crystal Dolphin accommodates up to 50 passengers for a sit-down event. The Outrageous Jet Boat accommodates up to 44 passengers for a sight-seeing excursion.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE? There is no specific dress code, but dressy casual attire is recommended. We strongly recommend that people do not wear high-heeled shoes and encourage people to wear solid, non-slip footwear as you will be in a marine environment. We do recommend wearing layered clothing as the climate on the river can be unpredictable. The Portland Spirit, Willamette Star, and Crystal Dolphin vessels offer fully enclosed, climate-controlled dining decks. Cruises that take place on the Columbia River are especially susceptible to sudden climate changes. Cruises aboard the Outrageous Jetboat should be considered a “thrill”-type ride where weather and river conditions can vary dramatically.

IS SMOKING PERMITTED ONBOARD? Smoking is not permitted indoors at any time on any vessel. Smoking is permitted in designated areas on the outside decks of the vessels.

IS THERE WHEELCHAIR ACCESS? Portland Spirit, Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler, Willamette Star and Crystal Dolphin are wheelchair accessible on the Willamette (lower) decks with certain restrictions. Please address any needs you may have regarding access requirements with a reservationist.

WHERE DOES THE SHIP BOARD? Portland Spirit and Outrageous Jet Boat public cruises usually board at the Salmon Street Springs Fountain in Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The fountain is located in the park where Salmon Street meets /Front Avenue. The Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler cruises usually board at the Visitor Center in Marine Park in the Port of Cascade Locks, except during the month of December when the vessel operates from Portland at Caruthers Landing.

WHERE DOES THE SHIP BOARD? (CONTINUED) Willamette Star and Crystal Dolphin Public Cruises may board at either Caruthers Landing or from Salmon Street Springs Fountain.

WHERE DOES THE SHIP GO? Public cruises aboard Portland Spirit, Willamette Star, and Crystal Dolphin typically run South (upstream) from downtown Portland on the Willamette River to the Milwaukie Basin/Lake Oswego area. The return leg cruises North through downtown. Public cruises aboard Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler typically run west (downstream) to Bonneville Dam from Cascade Locks on the Columbia River, then east (upstream) in the direction of White Salmon/Hood River before returning to Dock. Cruise routes vary depending on river activity and conditions.

DOES THE CRUISE TAKE PLACE IN THE RAIN? Cruise operate year-round in every kind of weather condition. The Portland Spirit, Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler, Willamette Star and Crystal Dolphin have enclosed dining decks.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE? For Portland Spirit Vessel cruises: the City of Portland polices meter locations from the hours of 8:00am to 7:00pm, Monday through Saturday. There are a variety of pay lots in the vicinity of the Portland Spirit vessel. Nearby facilities include the World Trade Center garage off of Naito Parkway/Front Avenue on Taylor Street, SmartPark at SW First Avenue/Jefferson Street and at SW Fourth Avenue/Alder Street, and underneath the .

IS THERE MAX ACCESSIBILITY? The light rail system runs very close to Portland Spirit’s boarding location. For passengers riding East- bound trains, the closest disembarking point is Yamhill/Southwest First Avenue. For passengers riding Westbound trains, the closest disembarking point is Morrison/Southwest Third Avenue.

ARE CARBON OFFSETS SUPPORTED? If you would like to make a contribution to offset your portion of the carbon impact of your cruise, passengers should contribute $1 per passenger. The carbon offsets should be made to The Climate Trust, an Oregon-based company.

Cross the , keeping in the right hand lane and take the Naito Parkway Exit; it will loop around to Naito Parkway. Head South on Naito to SW Salmon Street

From South: • North on I-5 • Follow the city center signs to Naito Parkway Exit (299A) • Follow North to Salmon Street.

From East Side: • Cross the heading west • Take a right on First Street to Everett Street • Right on Everett to Naito Parkway • Right on Naito Parkway and follow to SW Salmon Street

From Beaverton: • East on Sunset Hwy. 26 • Stay in middle lane through the tunnel • Take Market Street exit; follow to SW Naito Parkway • Left on SW Naito Parkway and follow to SW Salmon Street.

From Gresham: • I-84 (Banfield) West to Portland • Take I-5 South Exit • Follow the city center signs, keeping in the right hand lane • Cross the Morrison Bridge, keeping in the right hand lane • Take the Naito Parkway Exit; it will loop around to Naito Parkway • Head South on Front to SW Salmon Street.
