La dedicación y voluntad de sus organizadores llevaron adelante un proyecto que se convirtió en referente y fue reproducido en el resto de países Latinoamericanos. Con cerca de 300,000 espectadores desde su creación, el Festival no ha dejado de cumplir con su misión primera que es la de formar un público crítico y exigente a través un cine innovador, creativo y comprometido que analiza nuestro tiempo, que apela a la reflexión y aviva nuestras emociones. Este aniversario nos plantea el reto de seguir creciendo para ofrecer una programa- ción de calidad única que estimule al espectador con películas recientes, y nunca proyectadas en Perú. El Festival también es el espacio para recordar a grandes artistas que hacen y han he- cho lo que es hoy el distintivo del cine europeo. En esta oportunidad el Festival conme- mora a Ingmar Bergman, el “último gran romántico” como lo calificó Jean Luc Godard, con motivo de los 100 años de su nacimiento, y también rinde tributo a Romy Schneider, europea por excelencia, tanto por su vida personal como por su carrera profesional.

Révélations 2 3 Les Révélations 2020 par Lukas Dhont Un projet de l’Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma en partenariat avec CHANEL 4 Les Révélations sont la pierre angulaire du cinéma de demain. Ils marquent le commencement d’une nouvelle ère cinématographique. Nous sommes extrêmement fiers et heureux d’être associés à CHANEL pour cette belle soirée devenue un rendez-vous mythique. J’aimerais pour cela dire un grand merci à cette Grande Maison et particulièrement à son Président Bruno Alain Terzian Pavlovsky. Merci, Cher Bruno, à vous et à vos équipes, de nous Président accompagner dans ce magnifique projet. de l’Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma Cette année, ce sont 36 comédiennes et comédiens qui sont mis en lumière par le Comité Révélations de l’Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma. Nous avons choisi de donner carte blanche à un jeune réalisateur, Lukas Dhont, véritable révélation lui-même puisque son premier long métrage, Girl, a été récompensé en 2018 de la Caméra d’Or au Festival de Cannes. Il a choisi de mettre en scène cette nouvelle génération de talents au sein d’un « marathon de danse », ces compétitions épuisantes qui se déroulaient aux États-Unis pendant la Grande Dépression, magnifiquement immortalisé par Jane Fonda dans un film de Sydney Pollack dans les années 60. À travers la vision artistique de Lukas Dhont, il n’est plus question d’affrontement, mais au contraire, de solidarité et de cohésion. Les temps changent… les Révélations puisent leur force dans l’unité, l’union d’un seul et même groupe.
