Révélations 2 3 Les Révélations 2020 Par Lukas Dhont Révélations 2 3 Les Révélations 2020 par Lukas Dhont Un projet de l’Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma en partenariat avec CHANEL 4 Les Révélations sont la pierre angulaire du cinéma de demain. Ils marquent le commencement d’une nouvelle ère cinématographique. Nous sommes extrêmement fiers et heureux d’être associés à CHANEL pour cette belle soirée devenue un rendez-vous mythique. J’aimerais pour cela dire un grand merci à cette Grande Maison et particulièrement à son Président Bruno Alain Terzian Pavlovsky. Merci, Cher Bruno, à vous et à vos équipes, de nous Président accompagner dans ce magnifique projet. de l’Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma Cette année, ce sont 36 comédiennes et comédiens qui sont mis en lumière par le Comité Révélations de l’Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma. Nous avons choisi de donner carte blanche à un jeune réalisateur, Lukas Dhont, véritable révélation lui-même puisque son premier long métrage, Girl, a été récompensé en 2018 de la Caméra d’Or au Festival de Cannes. Il a choisi de mettre en scène cette nouvelle génération de talents au sein d’un « marathon de danse », ces compétitions épuisantes qui se déroulaient aux États-Unis pendant la Grande Dépression, magnifiquement immortalisé par Jane Fonda dans un film de Sydney Pollack dans les années 60. À travers la vision artistique de Lukas Dhont, il n’est plus question d’affrontement, mais au contraire, de solidarité et de cohésion. Les temps changent… les Révélations puisent leur force dans l’unité, l’union d’un seul et même groupe. Nous aurons le plaisir de découvrir son film du 15 au 28 janvier 2020 dans plus de quatre cents salles de cinéma en France, grâce au réseau UGC. Je remercie ses dirigeants Guy Verrecchia et Alain Sussfeld, pour leur précieux soutien. Je tiens également à remercier le Petit Palais de nous recevoir pour cette merveilleuse soirée. Le réalisateur Lukas Dhont, lauréat de la « Caméra d’or » au Festival de Cannes en 2018 pour son film Girl, a été choisi par l’Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma et par CHANEL pour mettre en lumière les 36 révélations. « Je veux être de ce qui va arriver » se plaisait à dire Gabrielle Chanel. En apportant son soutien à l’Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma, la Maison CHANEL poursuit son engagement envers la création. 4 5 Comité Afin de faciliter le vote de ses membres pour le « César du Meilleur Espoir Féminin » et le « César du Meilleur Espoir Masculin », l’Académie leur propose, de façon indicative et non obligatoire, une première liste d’actrices et d’acteurs, « les Révélations ». Cette liste est établie par le Comité Révélations de l’année, désigné par le Bureau de l’Académie des César. Il est composé de 11 directrices et directeurs de casting disposant d’une bonne connaissance de la distribution artistique sur les films de long métrage de la production française et de 3 personnalités du monde du cinéma.
