ERSEC International Conference 2009, Beijing 1 Overall-effective Measures for Sustainable Water Resources Management in the Coastal Area of Shandong Province, Huangshui River Basin Concept Planning Phase: • Collecting and selecting of the most important social-economical, environmental and water related criteria • Collecting extensive lists of measures from which possible effective scenarios are selected. • Design, development and implementation of a simulation model and GIS based DSS for an effective IWRM

Application Phase: • Realisation of concepts and Pilot units for saving water and for water re-use in the domestic, industrial and agricultural sectors as well as the reduction of saltwater intrusion • Design and implementation of a improved monitoring system.
