26. Zeltspektakel vom 09.- 12.10.2008 Wir über uns Zeltspektakel in Wendlingen am Neckar. Der Zeltspektakel Wendlingen-Köngen e.V. kann bereits auf 25 großartige Festivals zurückblicken. Vielleicht zum letzten Mal auf dem Festplatz am Schäferhauser See präsentiert der Verein ein Programm das Seinesgleichen sucht. Zwischen Neckar und dem idyllischen Schäferhauser See verwandeln die Zeltspektakler jedes Jahr aufs Neue den Festplatz Wendlingen in eine vielfältige Zeltstadt, in der ein hochkarätiges Programm mit internationalen Künstlern präsentiert wird. Am zweiten Oktoberwochenende können jeden Tag bis zu 1000 Kultur- begeisterte aus Nah und Fern 4 Tage lang ihre Stars in Club-Atmosphäre hautnah erleben. Die 6 Veranstaltungen bieten eine aufregende Mischung aus Kabarett, Musiklegenden aus Woodstock, Blues, Chaostheater, Frühschoppen, und Kinderprogramm. In diesem Jahr sind wir besonders stolz darauf, dass Mick Fleetwood eines der wenigen Konzerte seiner Europatour in Wendlingen spielen wird. Im Cafézelt trifft man sich zum gemütlichen Plausch an der Sektbar oder lässt sich vom leckeren Speiseangebot verführen. Hier kann man bei einem frisch gezapften Bierchen mit Freunden Spaß haben oder nette Menschen kennenlernen. Zeltspektakel vom 09.-12.10.2008 Donnerstag 09.10.2008 Kabarett 20 Uhr Dem Zeltspektakel e.V. ist es gelungen die Trägerin des bayrischen Kabarettpreises 2008 auf ihrer Heldinnentour nach Wendlingen zu holen. Sissi Perlinger Mit dem Erfolgsprogramm —Singledämmerung“. Als Priesterin der hohen Comedy führt sie ihr verzaubertes Publikum an den Abgrund und lässt es in komödiantische Tiefen blicken. Alle großen Emotionen werden vor unseren Augen entblättert und in einer Lachsalve aufgelöst. Eine an alte Mythen angelehnte Märchenstruktur ist der rote Faden des Programms. Aber Sissis Alleingang ist bevölkert von modernen Fabelwesen aus der Gegenwart, die uns einen farbenprächtigen Spiegel vorhalten. Unsere kleine Heldin findet mit uns den Weg aus dem Hades, vorbei an den Sirenen durch die Verschachtelung des labyrinthischen Innenlebens hindurch: Wird sie den Drachen besiegen? Das Publikum erfährt dabei auch noch alles über die großen Chancen, die hinter jeder Krise stecken. Das völlig Neuartige in der Geschichte der Sagen: Eine Frau wird zur selbstbestimmten Persönlichkeit. Die Heldin des Dritten Jahrtausends ist ein glücklicher Single. Programm In dieser rasanten Bühnenshow erfahren Männer auf humorvolle Weise, was sie ernsthaft nie wissen wollten, nämlich wie Frauen funktionieren. Mit ihrer dreieinhalb Oktavenstimme haucht, zwitschert und grooved sich die Perlinger in die Herzen ihrer Zuschauer und zieht spielend alle Register: vom klassisch perfekten Ton über funkigen Pop und fetzigen Rap bis hin zu heftigen Heavy-Metal-Einlagen. Rick Vito Performing 40 years of the original FLEETWOOD MAC Mick Fleetwood - Ikone und Gründer einer der erfolgreichsten Rockbands der letzten 40 Jahre, Fleetwood Mac, feiert sein Blues-Jubiläum auf einigen wenigen Konzerten in Deutschland mit seiner neuen Band The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band. Eine dieser musikalischen Raritäten konnten wir für das Zeltspektakel in Wendlingen gewinnen! Die acht Konzerte sind eine Hommage an die originalen Fleetwood Mac. Der Schwerpunkt bei den Konzerten werden Stücke aus der ‚Peter Green—-Phase der Band sein. 1967 lernen sich Mick Fleetwood, John McVie und Peter Green bei der Band "The Bluesbreakers" kennen. Fleetwood Mac war zu dieser Zeit - im Gegensatz zur Beat- und Rockbewegung - ganz auf den traditionellen amerikanischen Blues ausgerichtet. Mit Slide-Gitarrist Jeremy Spencer veröffentliche die Band 1967 ihr Debüt-Album "Fleetwood Mac", das heute als Meilenstein gilt. Es entstanden Klassiker wie ‚Black Magic Woman— (Carlos Santana machte daraus später einen Riesenhit) ‚Albatross—, ‚OH Well—. Das Debüt blieb 13 Monate in den UK-Charts und bescherte der Band ihren ersten Nummer-1-Hit. Die ausdrucksstarke Persönlichkeit Mick Fleetwoods sowie seine eigenwillige Art Schlagzeug zu spielen, haben den unwiderstehlich markanten Rhythmus und somit letztendlich den Sound von FLEETWOOD MAC über 40 Jahre hinweg eindrucksvoll geprägt œ auch in den verschiedenen Klangfarben und Prägungen dieser legendären Band. Als Sänger und Gitarrist wird Rick Vito, der in den späten 80er Jahren bereits einige Jahre bei Fleetwood Mac dabei war, mit auf Tour kommen. Der Bluesman und ehemalige ‚Fleetwood Mac—-Sänger und Lead-Gitarrist Rick Vito gibt den alten Klassikern seine ganz persönliche N ote, wobei sein eigener Stil sehr an den früheren ‚Fleetwood Mac—-Frontmann Peter Green erinnert Mick Fleetwood siedelte Anfang der 70er Jahre mit seiner Band in die Staaten um und führte Fleetwood Mac mit personellen Veränderungen zu Weltruhm. Fleetwood Mac ist heute eine Institution in der Musikwelt und gehört mit über 70 Millionen verkaufter Tonträger zu den erfolgreichsten Bands überhaupt. Allein ihr legendäres Album ‚Rumours— gehört heute zu den fünft bestverkauften Alben aller Zeiten. Fleetwood Mac prägte Generationen von Musikern und ist bis heute unvergessen. 26. Zeltspektakel vom 09.-12.10.2008 Samstag 11.10.2008 Kinderprogramm 14 Uhr TRAUMGESCHICHTEN DIE IMPROWILDWECHSEL SHOW FÜR KINDER IMPROVISATIONSTHEATER Traumgeschichten machen die Kleinsten (Kindergartenkinder und Grundschüler) ganz Groß. Denn hierbei sind die Träume und Wünsche unserer jüngsten Zuschauer gefragt. Die Kinder im Publikum sind Regisseure und können bestimmen was auf der Bühne geschieht. Es gibt Piraten im wilden Sturm auf der Suche nach dem Regenbogen, Prinzessinnen die über Wolken reiten, gefährliche Abenteuer, wilde Tiere und vie les, vieles mehr… Die Geschichten entstehen vor den Augen œ und mit direkter Unterstützung der Kinder (sie entfachen den Wind, machen die Geräusche im Urwald etc). Aus den Träumen und Wünschen der Kinder gestalten die Darsteller in Sekundenschnelle die improvisierten Geschichten. Nach dem ultimativen, gemeinsamen ‚5 -4-3-2-1-los!— Einzählen verbleiben den Akteuren nur wenige Sekunden bis der imaginäre Vorhang sich hebt und die Szene beginnt. Markenzeichen der Stuttgarter Band ist die charaktervolle Stimme Roger Rögers, getragen von lockeren Grooves der vier Musiker, Kuno Bahnmaier (Gitarre), Michael Schütz (Tasten), Sebastian Zimmermann (Bass) und Stefan Schütz (Drums).     20 rock the rabbit12 TH E FLEETWOOD MAC BY ANTHONY BOZZA ROCK ROYALTY MICK FLEETWOOD LOOKS baCK AT ONE OF THE GREATEST YET MOST DYSFUNCTIONAL baNDS IN MUSIC HISTORY AND FIGURES OUT WHAT COMES NEXT Stretching 48 miles long and 26 across, Maui, the second-largest of the Hawaiian islands, is a tropical paradise full of dreamy beaches and lush landscapes, the most atypical of which is arranged over 18 acres at 4,000 feet above sea level. Near the top of a winding one-lane road cut into a ruddy hillside, a shady driveway dips beneath a canopy of trees to reveal a spread that—minus the citrus groves—looks more like an English country home than a tropical retreat. Clouds that seem but an arm’s length away cast moody shadows over the homestead, giving the sense that this place is half a world from the sun- lit valley below. Lovely bushes of pink and blue flowers abuzz with bees line the roundabout that lies before the front door. Beyond it, stretching into the trees, a long, manicured lawn awaits a garden party or a game of croquet. But one of my favorites we’re good at- partying. Although closing bars are a thing of the past for me (thank you wife and children), I manage to get my fun time in with a few cold beers on my regular days off. But there’s a limit. How much is too much? At what point does it go from casual and social drinking to problematic and disturbing. Anyone that wears a badge knows what goes on in the world. From dealing with decay of society to working odd hours, there are more than enough reasons to grab a beer after a tour of duty. Sometimes that does go too far. If the only way you cope with a stressful day is to drink alcohol and it’s affecting the people you love most, you may need help. I boasted to a couple of officers in our department about how I landed an interview with a rock star, founding drummer of Five Finger Death Punch Jeremy Spencer. I told them that the focus of the interview was his rehab stints due to his drug and alcohol addiction. They each responded with, “oh yeah, I went to rehab too.” It was a sobering moment and a stark reminder of the seriousness of this issue.

Although I made those figures up, I believe it. In the 15 years I have been in law enforcement, I don’t ever recall meeting a LEO that doesn’t occasionally have a few drinks. I merely assume that over the years I must’ve met at least a handful of cops that never have a drink. I’m 42 years old, and now I know several cops that don’t drink…anymore. Those cop friends of mine battled alcoholism and it nearly destroyed them. The pattern should sound very familiar to you: After you graduate the academy you start dealing with criminals, have a few drinks to unwind, stress mounts up, and repeat. This was all before today’s volatile climate of anti-police sentiment sweeping the nation. Just donning the uniform today will get you hateful glances and menacing stares. Who wouldn’t want a drink after a tour of duty right now? And that is a common scenario for us. In an extremely rare and incredible story, Jeremy Spencer, founding drummer of the hit heavy metal rock band Five Finger Death Punch, now a reserve Police Officer for Rockport Police Department in Indiana, went through a similar drug and alcoholism addiction and recovery experience- just the extreme version.

La història de Fleetwood Mac és llarga, tortuosa i una mica desconcertant. En menys d'una dècada, va passar de ser una admirada i respectada banda del blues anglès dels 60, a ser un referent del soft rock (també anomenat AOR, abreviació de l'anglès, Adult Oriented Rock) californià, gènere que els va transformar en mega estrelles i en un dels majors èxits comercials de la història. Els constants canvis de formació que va patir la banda durant uns anys expliquen, en part, la radical transformació musical de Fleetwood Mac. Pocs grups a la història del rock han patit tants canvis de formació, estilístics, musicals i geogràfics com els camaleònics Fleetwood Mac, han sobreviscut a 15 formacions diferents en gairebé 50 anys de trajectòria. Jamison All Rights Reserved iv ABSTRACT OF THE THESIS “Young Fashioned Ways”: A Study of Blues and Authenticity in Three Transatlantic Studio Collaborations by Conor M. Jamison Master of Arts in Music San Diego State University, 2013 During the late 1960s and early 1970s, it was popular for blues artists—both British and American—to travel across the Atlantic to record with their fellow musicians. Three albums resulted from these collaborative exchanges which have been popular among fans, but also matters of controversy among blues purists: The London Muddy Waters Sessions, The London Howlin' Wolf Sessions, and Fleetwood Mac: Blues Jam in Chicago. Some feel that the American masters did not play to their own potential, and the white, British sidemen sound weak in comparison with their black, American counterparts. These reflections call into question the ability of the British musicians to achieve authentic blues, as well as the ability of the American players to remain authentic in a collaborative environment. In 2002, musicologist, Allan Moore published his article “Authenticity as Authentication,” wherein, he outlined a tripartite typology that can be uses as a basis for evaluating musical performances in terms of the perception of authenticity by those experiencing it. Moore's typology classifies the factors of authenticity into “first-, second-, and third-person.” Or “authenticity of: 'expression,' 'experience,' and 'execution'”.
