League results Rosedale Open Match day 5 ========================== The 5 Percent Community - Really New Bremen Cyberdruids 3 : 0 Scorers: Arne Sandsto (9., 59.), Christer George (88.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Maurice P. Schmidt Both teams are struggling, and this made the match a fourpointer in an attempt to avoid relegation. As it stands, though, the Cyberdruids rested Malek and Gregory, and got a deserved spanking by the Greedy Retards. Monkey Business - Mishima Zaibatsu 1 : 2 Scorers: The SCUMM bar chef (31.) ***Anna Williams (33., 60.) Booked: Wally ***--- The Pirates Wannabe's invincibility ended tonight against those who heed the call, who were marginally stronger and significantly more effective, and got a somewhat lucky away win here. Dangermouse - Camarilla Divided 0 : 5 Scorers: --- ***Nina the Unknown (10., 45., 72.), Malcolm Middle (53.) Penalties: - ***1 Booked: Professor Skwarkenklux ***--- Generation X was clearly the strongest team in the Mouse Dome, but the Mouseketeers had enough chances for a couple of goals themselves... Call of Cthulhu - Grunts United 1 : 1 Scorers: Yig (69.) ***Trolluc Troeffel (12.) Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- Booked: --- ***Larry Long The Greenskins have apparently found back to the good ol' Gruntball, but despite a missed penalty, the Lurking Fear pulls off a lucky draw after a lucky goal in the second half. Sale Savoyards - Lower Tadfield Apocalypse 3 : 7 Scorers: Sam (35., 45.), Hilarian (18.) ***Chalky (24., 34., 48., 49., 86.), Mrs. Beryl Ormerod (74.), The delivery man (32.) A very entertaining match at the Savoy tonight, with the away team scoring more goals and taking a deserved win. Saturday Morning FC - the Ancients 3 : 1 Scorers: The Brain (25., 71.), Rick Hunter (6.) ***Opisthocoelicaudia (38.) Booked: George of the Jungle, Squirtle ***--- The 2Ds picked a good strategy to overrun the Oldtimers, and their win was never really threatened. That makes the first points for them at ACME Park this season! Rosedale Open Match day 6 ========================== Mishima Zaibatsu - Call of Cthulhu 4 : 0 Scorers: Anna Williams (25., 29.), Jin Kazama (5.), Squirtle (59.) ***--- Sent off: --- ***Yig (73.) Booked: --- ***Glaaki The Lurking Fear ran out of karma, and suffered a scoreline that flattered Mishima Zaibatsu. It won't hurt their chances on the karma crown much, though, as they had small chances for claiming points. Grunts United - The 5 Percent Community 3 : 1 Scorers: Tenzy Tenz (19., 39.), Zala Zalmer (50.) ***Christer George (66.) Booked: Lenny Lesser ***Bent Skammelsrud, Jorn Jamtfall, Lars Blixt, Thor Hermansen A relegation zone fight, showing that one of these teams really didn't belong in it. A clue: This team's players are not buying overpriced pyramid stock. Lower Tadfield Apocalypse - Saturday Morning FC 11 : 1 Scorers: Chalky (33., 56., 63., 70., 77.), Wensleydale (4., 7., 24.), The delivery man (46., 75.), Mrs. Beryl Ormerod (89.) ***Squirtle (13.) The Apocalypse are steaming ahead very strongly this season, and managed the feat of a two-digit win against the 2Ds! Really New Bremen Cyberdruids - Dangermouse 3 : 1 Scorers: Maurice P. Schmidt (69.) ***Baron Silas Greenback II (55.) Penalties: 2 ***- Booked: --- ***Stiletto The Mouseketeers came to Rosewood Cemetary with good hopes about points, and did have most of the play. However, the referee liked the Cyberdruids much better, and decided the match by giving them two penalties. Camarilla Divided - Sale Savoyards 4 : 0 Scorers: Raymond "Knowhow" Ash (30.), Eliza 'Eeehh' Rodham-Cox (44.), Jerry 'Informed' Time (61.), Carla 'Narrow-minded' Walston (90.) ***--- Sale Savoyards apparently didn't have much hope for this match, and they were probably right... Generation X holds second place, chasing one point behind the Apocalypse. the Ancients - Monkey Business 1 : 6 Scorers: Euoplocephalus (20.) ***Minnie Goudsoup (24., 33., 41.), The SCUMM bar chef (47.), Wally (11.), Elaine Marley (89.) Lexington League Match day 5 ============================= Jedi Order - World Ambassadors 1 : 7 Scorers: Mace Windu (57.) ***Dog (63., 74.), John Milardovic (32., 45.), Ian Bond (34.), Christian Wyatt (55.), Russ Bynum (11.) Booked: --- ***Carmine Zuigiber Both teams were chasing right behind the promotion zone before this match, but it was such a one-sided affair that one expects a larger gap between them for the time to come. Very solid performance from the Stabbers! Dial Square FC - Gangsters United 4 : 4 Scorers: Vieira (1., 71., 75.), Ljunberg (19.) ***Svarte Petter (14., 32.), Little Carmine (36.), Tony Blundetto (76.) Booked: --- ***Dr. Evil, Svarte Petter A top match at Plumstead Common, with Gangsters United showing that they're a force to be reckoned with, but with Woolwich Arsenal lucky enough to score four times and get a point from the match. Les Gaulois - Lords 5 : 3 Scorers: Abraracourcix (7., 58.), Obelix (72.), Assurancetourix (41.) ***Neb Luzi (76.), Nes Eri (41.) Penalties: 1 ***1 Booked: Assurancetourix, Ordralfabetix, Orthopedix ***Nebo Dimona, Nimam Pojma, Pejt Vrit A relegation zone battle, where both teams realized this battle was very vital. As it stood, on a neutral field we'd be fairly certain of a draw, but Les Gaulois used their home advantage well, and got their first two points deservedly. Sleep Wanderers - Desassossego Blues 2 : 1 Scorers: Andrew Card (45., 68.) ***Alberto Caeiro (82.) Booked: --- ***Thomas Crosse The first half was very uneventful, but when everyone got going in the second half, it was Sleep Wanderers who had most of the play, and deservedly edged out the Blues for their first points this season! Batt in Blax - the Blitzball Team 3 : 1 Scorers: Locke (40., 64.), Hamish Marshall (55.) ***Naomi (39.) Batt in Blax have a full score so far this season, and wasn't overly troubled by the Blitzballers. Booked: Gaius Julius Caesar, Marcus Livius Drusus ***Dream, Hole in the Wall, Spock's Beard The Toga Boys have serious promotion ambitions this year, and can back it up - splattering Dead Dino Storage like this is very impressing indeed. Lexington League Match day 6 ============================= Gangsters United - Sleep Wanderers 7 : 2 Scorers: Svarte Petter (29., 46., 54., 87.), Dr. Evil (78.), The Joker (16.), Tony Blundetto (5.) ***Thessaly (14., 69.) Penalties: - (2 missed) ***- Booked: --- ***Andrew Card, Thessaly Top against bottom and no surprises, the scoreline depicts the state of the match quite well. Desassossego Blues - Jedi Order 8 : 1 Scorers: Thomas Crosse (19., 22., 39.), Vicente Guedes (26., 75., 88.), Fernando Pessoa (2.), Alberto Caeiro (68.) ***Aayla Secura (46.) The Blues get their strategy right, and crushes the Lightside using a whole lot of Force. the Blitzball Team - First Men of Rome 1 : 2 Scorers: --- ***Caligula (5.), Marcus Aemilius Lepidus (60.) Penalties: 1 (2 missed) ***- Sent off: --- ***Tiberius Gracchus (78.) The Blitzballers really need to start practicing penalties, after having given away a point each on two penalties. Of course, Toga Boys wouldn't complain... World Ambassadors - Les Gaulois 4 : 2 Scorers: John Milardovic (85., 89.), Dog (54.) ***Ordralfabetix (40.), Assurancetourix (13.) Penalties: 1 (1 missed) ***- Booked: --- ***Agecanonix, Orthopedix Les Gaulois put up more of a fight than expected at the World Hotel, but the home advantage was well spent, and the strength difference between the teams too large, even with a
