It is a narrative I concocted, as we all do, after rooting around in the infinite data source that is our human condition to develop a definitive understanding of one man. This man is trapped by the storytelling imperative, a unique affliction of our species, as we all are. He tells his own stories, and keeps secrets too. This is a story about Derren Brown. This story is not made up in that it is untrue, but is rather fabricated in the spirit of Brown’s notion that our conceptions of reality are born from the stories we tell ourselves.
