Sunnah's of Eid-Al-Fitr

ﯾ ﮐﯽ ﯾ Sunnah’s of Eid -al-Fitr The following Sunnah's are observed on Eid day: ü To adorn oneself as permitted by shariah. ﲎ ﮐ : ü To Take purification bath (Gusl) ﮐ۔ ü To Trim Nails ۔ ü To Trim Hair ü To brush (twigs) your teeth. ﮐ۔ ü To put on the best available clothes. ک ﮐ۔ (ü To wear perfume. (atar ﮐ ۔ ü To wake up early in morning and offer with jam’at in masjid. ۔ ü To come early for the Eid prayer. ﮐ ی ﲨ ﮐ۔ ü To eat something sweet, preferably dat es, before ی ۔ the Eid prayer. Rasulullah PBUH did that on eid-al-fitr ﮐ ﮐ ‘ ﮐۖ ﮐ ﮐ ﮐ but did not eat any food on Eid-al-Adha unless the Eid prayer has been offered. ﮐ ﮐ ﮏ ﮐ ۔ ü Offer Eid prayer in an Eidgah and Listen to the ۔ .(Eid speech) ﮏ ۔ .ü Go out by one route and come back by another ü Prophet PBUH has encouraged to pay Sadqah on Eid ﮐۖ ی ۔ day. ﮐ ۔ ü To recite the following Takbirs in low voice while going to the 'Eid prayer: ﮫ Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar La Ilaha Illallahu Wa Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Wa Lillahillhamd ﯾ ﮐ ﮑ Obligations of Eid-al-Fitr ﮐ ﮐ ﮐ ۔ it is desirable to offer nafl prayers in this night but 5 fasting is on this day. ﮐ ﲨ ﮐ ۔ The Eid prayer is Wajib (obligatory) on every male 5 Muslim. ﲨ ﲨ ۔ 5 If Eid falls on Friday, both Friday and Eid prayer shall ﮐ ( ) ﮐ ۔ .be offered separately as per their timings 5 It is a Sunnah that the Zakat-al-fitr is paid before performing the 'Eid prayer. Zakat -al -Fitr = Preferable $10 /Person

ﯾ ﮐﯽ ﮐ Eid Prayer concerning issues ۔ ۔ ﮐ ﰱ ﮐ Intent is one’s intention, the intention of the heart is 5 enough but if one wishes to make (intent) he /she ﮐ: ﮐ ﮐ ( ) ﮑﲑ can do that as well. E.g ; “I intent to perfom two raka’ats Eid-al-fitr wajib with six additional takbirs in the leadership ۔ of this imam” . ۔ ﮐ ﮑﲑ ﮐ ﮑﲑ ﱃ ﮑﲑ If one joins the after additional Takbirs have been 5 said, then he should say them after the very first takbir. ﮐ ۔ ﮐ ی ﮑﲑ ﮐ ﮐ ﮐ If one miss ed “Qayam” but not “ruk u’” then he shall say 5 ۔ ﮑﲑ ﮐ ﲑی ﮐ .the takbirs (not necessary) and follow the imam 5 If one misses the first Raka’ah , after the completion of ﮑﲑ ھ ۔ prayer by imam, he must perform the remaining one ۔ﮐ ی ﮐ ﲑ ﮐ ﮐ Raka ’ah by reciting sorah fatiah following by any sorah of holy Qur ’an and then say three Takbirs. ﮐ ﮑﲑ ﮐ ۔ .If one missed the Eid Salah, then he cannot offer it alone 5 There is no Qada or penalty but one should do Istighfar ۔ ﮐ ﲨ ﮐ ھ ﮑ ﮐ ﮐ ﮐ ﮐ ۔ How to Perform Eid Prayer The Eid Prayer has two rak'ah to perform in the normal way, with the only ﯾ ﮐ ﯾ addition of six takbirs, three of them in the beginning of the first rak'ah, and ﮐ ﮐ ﮑﲑ ﲑ .three of them just before ' in the second rak'ah The detailed way of performing the 'Eid prayer is as follows: ﮐ ۔ ﮑﲑ ’ ﮐﱪ ’ ﮐ ۓ ﮏ .The Imam will begin the prayer without or Iqamah 5 5 He will begin the prayer by reciting takbir of Tahrimah (Allahu Akbar). ھ ۔ You should raise your hands up to the ears, and reciting the takbir, you 5 ۓ ۔ ﮑﲑ ﮐ ﮑﲑ ·'give a little pause during which you should recite Thana 5 After the completion of Thana' the Imam will recite takbir (Allahu ﮏ ۓ ﮐ ی ﮑﲑ ۔ Akbar) three times, and after reciting each Takbir (Allahu Akbar) in a low voice, you should bring your hands down and leave them ی ﮐ ﮐ  ﮑﲑ ﮐ ﮑﲑ .earthwards ۓ ﮐ But, after the third takbir, you should set them at the level of your navel 5 ﮏ  ﮑﲑ ﮐ .as you do in the normal prayer ﮑ ۓ ۔ After these three takbirs the Imam will recite the Holy Qur'an, which 5 you should listen quietly. 5 The rest of the rak'ah will be performed in the normal way. 5 After rising for the second rak'ah, the Imam will begin the recitations 5 After these three takbirs have been called and completed, the Imam will from the Qur'an during which you should remain calm and quiet. say another takbir for bowing down into the ruku' position. 5 When the Imam finishes his recitation, he will recite three takbirs once 5 At this takbir you need not raise your hands. You just bow down for again, but this time it will be before bowing down for ruku'. your ruku' saying, 'Allahu Akbar'. 5 At each takbir you should raise your hands up to the ears, and 5 The rest of the Salah will be performed in its usual way. after saying "Allahu Akbar' bring them down and leave the m earthwards.
