These translations don't just happen but are the result of years of work by teams of translators, for instance it took six translators twenty years to provide the New Testament and Psalms in Cornish. An App has been available for just over two years now.

But it's not only minority languages, Oldi Morava is translating the Old Testament into Albanian. On a translation day, he tends to work from home and not open any emails, you don't need distractions when you need to focus! Depending on the difficulty of the text, he translates between 12-20 verses a day. When translating a text there are a number of decisions to make. One of these is how close to make your translation to the original text, will it be word for word, or thought for thought. Most translations are a mixture because there may not be an equivalent word.

Although they work alone, translation teams meet together a few times each year to compare their work, reading it aloud verse by verse, making suggestions and learning from each other. BBuucckkffaasstt AAbbbbeeyy

As a lover of old railways, the unique strand to weave into the whole, and each generation with its own opportunity a few years ago to travel through the tunnels on part of the chapter to contribute to the ongoing tale. We neither live in isolation, nor London underground in a Victorian carriage behind a steam locomotive, are our lives without meaning, as we are inheritors of rich traditions of faith, thereby reliving something of the experience of people over 100 years ago, spirituality, humanity and compassion, and will leave our inheritance also. was a real treat.
