Learning must extend beyond the classroom. Through a broad range of activities, we hope to provide our students with the social and cultural capital that will allow them to prosper in society. We also believe that passionate people are inspired learners, which is why students are encouraged to take part in activities to supplement their studies. The breadth of our extra-curricular and employer engagement programmes allows for passions to be explored and skillsets expanded; whether it’s sporting, creative or entrepreneurial, we really do have something for everyone (and if we don’t, we listen to students’ suggestions for further developing our enrichment programme). Sixth Form

We run a highly-successful, coeducational Sixth Form with our neighbouring girls’ school, Parliament Hill, housed in a new shared Sixth Form centre. Our joint Sixth Form is part of the popular, well-established LaSWAP consortium that also includes La Sainte Union and Acland Burghley schools. All four schools work together to provide an extensive range of courses, run by specialist teaching staff and complemented by an excellent enrichment programme, as well as personalised career advice. The success of our Sixth Form provision is confirmed by the excellent progression of students into prestigious universities and a wide range of careers. 54 | Secondary Schools in Camden 2021 Apply online: camden.gov.uk/admissions Is my child entitled to free school travel?

As part of the financial settlement agreed with the Government to support Transport for London following the impact of COVID-19 on TfL’s finances, free transport for under 18s was due to be suspended. If you choose to send your child to a school further away when there is a school place nearer to your home, you must pay any travel costs incurred. If you think your child might have a serious medical, social or other reason why they would need transport to and from school, you should ask for your case to be given special consideration. If you think your child might have a right to free travel, or if you would like a copy of the policy, you should email admissions@ camden.gov.uk or telephone the Camden Admissions Team on 020 7974 1625. Is there any other financial support for my child that I could apply for?

Parents should note that due to changes to funding arrangements, Camden Council is unable to provide clothing grants for school students or 16 to 19 maintenance grants for either school or college students. Post-16 students can contact their school or college for information about any available financial assistance. If you are in receipt of benefits, please seek further advice on financial assistance from the agency providing the benefits or contact Camden’s Welfare Rights and Benefits Advice Centres. For information on how to contact these centres visit your local library or camden.gov.uk. Will I need to buy any text books for my child?

Camden Council provides all books required for the curriculum, via the secondary schools.
