Dear State Committee Member, My name is Paul Stolberg and I am writing to ask for your consideration and vote to be a member of the Democratic Party Finance Committee. I firmly believe that sound and responsible fiscal practices are the cornerstone for good progressive policies and politics. I was raised in the state of Wisconsin which has a rich Progressive political tradition. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and the Madison Area Technical College. I am a retiree from General Electric Healthcare. I was a Field Service Engineer for 29 years. I currently work part time for GE as a rehired pensioner. I have been an active Democrat since I made phone calls for Eugene McCarthy in his 1968 Presidential campaign. I have remained a committed activist and worked for Democratic candidates in municipal, state and national elections. I have been a long time activist for single payer healthcare. I am a member of Maine All Care and a former member of Mass Care. Currently I am Chair of the York Democratic Town Committee, Treasurer of the York County Democratic Committee, member of the Seacoast Democrats Campaign Steering Committee. Past experience includes being the former Treasurer and Chair of the Andover, MA Democratic Town Committee. I was Campaign Treasurer for Massachusetts State Senator Susan Tucker. I believe that I can make a difference and will work hard to address the financial challenges we Democrats will face in 2020 for Maine and the United States. It would be an honor and privilege to serve as a member on the Maine Democratic Party’s Finance Committee. Please consider me for the position. I ask for your vote. I can be reached at 207 351 9905 if you have any questions. Sincerely, Paul Stolberg
