Profile I am currently the Deputy Headmaster at St John’s Preparatory in Harare. I update the timetable, Chair the Common Room Committee and am the Cambridge Primary Examinations’ Officer. I have taught English, Maths and Religious Studies to Grade 6 and 7 boys, coach the 1st XV rugby and the 2nd XI cricket team. I run an annual Grade 7 camp to the Gosho Park Conservancy, the Mastermind Competition, the Christmas Play and the Leavers’ Carol Service. I teach boys to play the bagpipes and am master in charge of Sailing Club. I have been married to Heidi for 18 years and we have three children, Meghan 15, William 13 and James 10. Pastoral Achievements – Assisted in the running of Laverock Hostel at Hillcrest Prep 1998-1999 Assisted my wife when she was housemistress of the girls’ house as Belhaven Hill School as well as doing my own duties in the boys’ house 2000-2004. Housemaster at Malvern House at Peterhouse 2005-2009. Housemaster at Tinokura, the form one house at Peterhouse 2010-2011. Peterhouse - Developed the Peterhouse 7-a-side festival for soccer, tag-rugby and cricket, which included 112 boys from as far as Zambia. Ran a team building initiative for new boys in the Peterhouse conservancy. Helped conceive the idea for a Mission Week where visiting Christian speakers came from South Africa, Canada and the UK. Ran a Christian men’s breakfast and a bible study. Wrote three unpublished children’s books and published cartoon calendars. Started Bee- Keeping Club with 30 bee hives. Started the Supporters Council which I chaired. Leadership – In 2008 I was interviewed by the Ruzawi board for the post of headmaster at Ruzawi School. I was also offered the post of acting Headmaster at Lilfordia Junior School but had to turn it down as I had committed to being Tinokura Housemaster. I recently turned down the opportunity of a final interview to be headmaster of Sharon. I am currently Deputy Headmaster of St John’s Preparatory School.
