Serbia: Biomass Heating Plant –
Serbia: Biomass heating plant – construction starts in September Preliminary works on the construction of a biomass heating plant in Priboj will start in August, while construction works are scheduled to start on 10 September, said Deputy Mayor of Priboj Sasa Vasilic after the meeting with the contractor. The project also includes reconstruction of the heating pipeline and heating substations, according to Vasilic. The tender for the latter has yet to be published. In April, local company Energotehnika has been selected as a contractor to replace the equipment of the heating plant in Priboj in order to enable the switch from fossil fuel to biomass. The works are expected to start in autumn and should last one year, thus enabling the city to enter 2021/22 heating season with environmentally friendly district heating system. Last September, the municipality of Priboj signed an agreement on a full reconstruction of the district heating system with the Serbian Ministry of Energy and the German Development Bank KfW. The agreement is related to the construction of 8 MW biomass-powered heating plant, which, along with the municipality of Mali Zvornik, will be the first case of fossil fuels being fully replaced with biomass in Serbia. The project also envisages a full reconstruction of the heating pipeline system in Priboj and the construction of new substations. The agreement is worth 6 million euros, of which 16.5 % is financed by the Governments of Germany and Switzerland, while the rest is covered by a long-term loan from KfW, with the minimum interest rate of 1.1 % and a grace period of two years. -

UREDBA O UTVRĐIVANJU JEDINSTVENE LISTE RAZVIJENOSTI REGIONA I JEDINICA LOKALNE SAMOUPRAVE ZA 2014. GODINU ("Sl. glasnik RS", br. 104/2014) Član 1 Ovom uredbom utvrđuje se jedinstvena lista razvijenosti regiona, koji su prema stepenu razvijenosti razvrstani u razvijene i nedovoljno razvijene regione i jedinica lokalne samouprave, koje su razvrstane u prvu, drugu, treću i četvrtu grupu i devastirana područja na osnovu podataka organa nadležnog za poslove statistike i finansija. Član 2 Razvrstavanje regiona vrši se na osnovu vrednosti bruto-domaćeg proizvoda po glavi stanovnika u regionu u odnosu na republički prosek, za referentni period. Razvijeni regioni su regioni koji ostvaruju vrednost bruto-domaćeg proizvoda iznad vrednosti republičkog proseka, i to: 1) Beogradski region; 2) Region Vojvodine. Nedovoljno razvijeni regioni su regioni u kojima je vrednost bruto-domaćeg proizvoda ispod vrednosti republičkog proseka, i to: 1) Region Šumadije i Zapadne Srbije; 2) Region Južne i Istočne Srbije. Pored regiona iz stava 3. ovog člana, status nedovoljno razvijenog regiona ima Region Kosova i Metohije. TENDENCIES RELATED TO THE PRODUCTION OF RASPBERRIES IN THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA Original scientific paper Economics of Agriculture 1/2013 UDC: 634.711(497.11) TENDENCIES RELATED TO THE PRODUCTION OF RASPBERRIES IN THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA Nataša Kljajić1, Predrag Vuković2, Slavica Arsić3 Summary Raspberry for its biological characteristics, economic importance, agro-ecological, technological, organizational and other requirements, the market value of the product, as well as very high interdependence and interdependence between the various phases of reproductive cycle, specific fruit species. He is one of the most important types of berries in the world, and is one of the most profitable crops in the overall crop production. By production volume, Serbia is among the leading producers of raspberries, and its economic significance is very high level of market sells and market competitiveness of the European Union. Accordingly, the paper presents the production season in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2000-2010 its average, minimum and maximum of values in production, changes in rates and coefficients of variation. Key words: raspberry, production, economic importance. JEL: Q13, Q11 Introduction The most significant production for the economy of our country within fruit production is the production of berrylike fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, cranberries, gooseberries) since an annual turnover realized with the export of this fruit, and first of all the export of raspberries, is more than 120 million of euros (Kljajic, 2012.). Raspberry (Rubus idaeus L.) is the most important kind of berry-like fruit. Growing raspberries has a very long tradition in our country, longer than a century. -

PRESS RELEASE 3 million dinars for support to farmers from the municipality of Prijepolje Prijepolje, June 7th, 2021 – The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, Prijepolje Municipality, and Zlatibor Regional Development Agency today signed an agreement that officially launched the 2021 Prijepolje Agriculture Development Fund. This innovative funding vehicle is supported by the USAID Competitive Economy Project. Prijepolje is the second municipality in the Zlatibor District, after Čajetina, to set up a farming development fund. The fund’s purpose is to provide multi-annual assistance to local farmers, with a total of 3 million dinars in capital provided by the Prijepolje local government and the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation. “This is an innovative model that will allow the Fund to be used in a revolving arrangement to incentivize farmers from the area. The Municipality of Prijepolje will subsidize 30 percent of the incentives in the first year of the contract, while the remaining funds will be repaid by the beneficiaries, free of interest, on a schedule of 10 percent in the first year and 30 percent each in the second and third year of the contract”, said Vladimir Babić, Mayor of Prijepolje. Aleksandar Pavlović, Chief of Party of the USAID Competitive Economy Project, highlighted the difficulties faced by small-scale, traditional farmers in getting the finance they needed for initial investment into expanding and improving their production, even though the Serbia could boast a wide range of subsidies and loans. “This is exactly the issue these alternative types of revolving support extended by local governments and other partners are designed to address. -
