The Indian Institute of Management, Sirmaur is one of six new third generation IIMs set up under the auspices of the Ministry of Human Resources Development in 2015. Taking forward the legacy of the IIM brand, IIM Sirmaur is committed to delivering quality education, training, and research in the management sciences. At IIM Sirmaur, we focus on developing indigenous knowledges and innovative practices in an enabling environment. We strive for the seamless integration of management education with local and global aspirations. We believe that management education is not just about seeking the most competitive employment opportunities, but rather about learning to serve socioeconomic concerns through ethical and visionary corporate leadership. Shri Virbhadra Singh, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh was the Chief Guest on the occasion and delivered the Convocation Address. Hon'ble Chief Minister urged the graduating students to focus on the development of rural and hilly areas along with the under privileged sections of the society so that their expertise could help in growth and expansion of economic activities. He said that the management tools could help in simplifying complex issues related to environmental sustainability, energy security, healthcare and sustainable development. Addressing the gathering, Professor (Dr.) Neelu Rohmetra, Director IIM Sirmaur highlighted the initiatives at IIM Sirmaur. She emphasized on integrating management education with local and global aspirations. She further added that IIM Sirmaur strives to deliver quality education, training and research in Management in an enabling environment, with the focus on indigenous areas and innovative practices, to develop sensitive corporate leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow. This was followed by felicitation of students of Post Graduate Programme. Suraj Roziwala bagged the Gold Medal for his superior academic performance over the two years and Anas Ahmed was felicitated with the Best All-round Performer Award. An exhibition highlighting the journey of Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur since its inception in 2015 was also showcased on the occasion.

The first year coursework is spread over three terms. The programme Finance & Accounting Management Operations fosters an overall development of the future business leaders with strong Financial Statement Analysis Corporate Valuation and Restructuring Management fundamentals. The curriculum is designed to give students a perfect combination of Healthcare Operations Commercial Bank Management Marketing academic skills and insights into the changing business environment.
