Tomb raider 1 android game Continue Tomb Raider 1 is back for Android and iOS. Lara Croft's first adventure returns with all the original graphics and elements, but with updated controls adapted for the current generation of tablets and smartphones. While this seems clunky, the game works well on touch screens. Download on TechTudo and have fun! Our opinion Some games have sprung up on consoles or PCs and got bad adaptations on tablets and smartphones. However, Tomb Raider 1 is not one of them. The game has been faithfully translated into smaller screens of modern gadgets, despite the fact that the original graphics have been saved. Although not a negative point, the graphics of the game at an age are bad. Today we have much more modern games and therefore the appearance of the very first Tomb Raider can cause some strangeness. But make no mistake, as the original goal was to really keep the content true to the full extent of this chapter. In fact, in its own game ad, Square Enix makes it clear: the intention is to transfer the full experience of the first Tomb Raider to mobile devices without taking or adding anything - unless, of course, the teams are adapted to the touchscreen. The controls were very good. Lara moves naturally without any delays or communication problems. Shots usually also go as expected, with the right target and with the expected result. Of course, many may not get used to it, but it is undeniable that the team is working. Lara is well represented in her first chapter in the mobile version, and is worth trying out the game, with lots of content and fun! Release dates: December 2013 (TR1 iOS), December 2014 (TR2 iOS), April 2015 (TR1 Android), October 2015 (TR2 Android) Metacritic Score: N/A ESRB/PEGI Rating: Teen/12 Game Info: These iOS and Android ports of classic Tomb Raider games have old school action, updated for touch devices. They require iOS 7.0/Android OS 4.0. Check the product pages in the App Store and Play Store for compatible devices. I don't own any iThingy, so I haven't had a chance to try the iOS versions, but based on my experience with Android versions, they're decent ports of the original game with graphics and touch control. They look great but like someone who doesn't play touch games all that I find the controls a little wobbly. I suppose if you're willing to fork out money, an external controller will help. Release dates: December 2002 (Pocket PC) and October 2003 (N-Gage) Metacritic Score: N/A ESRB/PEGI Rating: Teen/12 Game Info: Over the years, the original 1996 Tomb Raider has been transferred to various platforms. While the window art at the N-Gage edition features Angel-of-Darkness Lara, both of these games are actually TR1 slightly modified for mobile devices. Instead of full-fledged video series between certain levels, these mobile versions have a scroll of textual narration, and the entire audio dialogue is replaced by subtitles. The N-Gage version also has a limited multiplayer mode called Shadow Racing, in which players compete to have the fastest time and highest score. (There's a league table that shows every time you try to beat someone's result.) When the race beat someone else's score, you see the second Lara, which is that person's record performance. When you do it on the league table your own record is made available for others to beat. No Metacritic scores are available, but the general consensus is that these two games were mediocre ports at best. For an in-depth review, visit GameSpot. Release date: December 2008 Metacritic Score: N/A ESRB/PEGI Rating: NR There Are Two Versions for mobile phones: 2D and 3D. Games were created by Distinctive Developments and published by EA Mobile with Eidos Mobile. My step-by-step guide to 2-D games is related but at the moment I don't have a phone that will run a 3-D game (pictured right). Tomb Raider: Underworld 2D Mobile Walkthrough Release Date: December 2007 Metacritic Score: N/A ESRB/PEGI Rating: NR I regret that Tomb Raider: Anniversary for Mobile Phones is a pretty cheap knock-off of the excellent TR mobile trilogy (see below). Each of the levels in this game was removed from the Codex of Osiris, in search of Cinnabar or Elixir life. The graphics have been slightly updated, but the level maps, game mechanics, puzzles, etc. are exactly the same. So if, like me, you've already played the first three cell phone games, you'll probably be disappointed in that.
