FELLS (Friends of Eden, Lakeland and Lunesdale Scenery) President: Dr Mike Hall Chairman: Sir Tim Kimber

Since 2000 FELLS has been active in conserving our landscapes by opposing poorly sited wind turbines in Cumbria and NW Lancashire.

The Armistead (Old Hutton) windfarm starts building soon and the developers are now seeking permission for 5 even larger turbines - the tallest in Cumbria – near Killington. The threat to our landscape from the increasing number of wind turbines is now very real.

We all jointly pay millions of pounds in subsidies for wind turbines, whether we wish to or not. We believe there are more effective ways of spending this money.

If you agree with us we would love to hear from you. For more information about current windfarm proposals, or about FELLS, please contact: e-mail: [email protected] Tel. 01539-824043 or 01539-728055
