SELF DRIVE DIRECTIONS – JHB//PTA via to Jaci’s Lodges

PLEASE NOTE:

 There is no fuel available inside Game Reserve, we therefore urge you to refuel at Sun Village / .  Please phone Jaci's Safari Lodge + 27 (0)72 609 2685 or Jaci's Tree Lodge + 27 (0)83 276 2387 when passing Sun City.  Driving time is approximately 3, 5 hours from to Jaci’s Lodges.  There are brown Jaci's Safari Lodge / Jaci's Tree Lodge / Madikwe Game Reserve signs at various points along the way. *Please note that some of the the Madikwe Game Reserve and Jaci’s Lodges road signs have been removed due to road works after Sun City & not replaced. Please refer to distance markers on our directions for exact places to turn left or right along the route we recommend.  Please advise us of your estimated time of arrival, and check the afternoon game drive schedules to ensure you will be on time.  Please drive carefully and be aware of village pedestrians, their children and animals.  *Don’t use a GPS it will take you to the Madikwe dam or village which is a couple hours drive on dirt roads away from Madikwe Game Reserve.

DIRECTIONS FROM JOHANNESBURG / O.R TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT / / SUN CITY:

 From Johannesburg follow the to Pretoria.  From O.R Tambo take the towards Pretoria and continue for approximately 36km. Take the N1 / North (you are now traveling in a Northerly direction). Continue on the N1 and take the Bakwenya () toll road. Continue on the N4 in the direction of Rustenburg and take the (Sun City / Majakaneng) turn off.  Turn right at the top of the off ramp to Sun City and continue straight to Sun City (Approx 73 km to Sun City from this off ramp).  There is no fuel available inside Madikwe Game Reserve, we therefore urge you to refuel at Sun Village / Zeerust.  Please phone Jaci's Safari Lodge + 27 (0)72 609 2685 or Jaci's Tree Lodge + 27 (0)83 276 2387 when passing Sun City.  After passing Sun City and the Sun Village on the right, continue straight until you reach a four-way junction. Turn right and follow the road for approximately 8 km, soon after will need to take a left turn at the sign saying "Bapong". Continue along this road until you've passed through "". After approximately 45km you will come to a 4 way stop - turn right to "Derdepoort".  This tar / sealed road continues for about 25km and then becomes gravel / dirt ( Liquor Store is on your left). Continue straight along the gravel road towards "Molatedi Village" (do not take the next Derdepoort turning to the right, continue straight). Pass through the Molatedi village, over the and continue to the "Molatedi Gate" entrance into the Park.  From here the friendly gate staff can give you directions, or just follow the signs to Jaci's Safari Lodges.
