Legendary hair stylist Vidal Sassoon dies
by IWannaBeABluesSinger » Wed May 09, 2012 11:58 pm
Some of Dusty's early iconic hairstyles were created by Vidal Sassoon. He went on to be the most influential hairstylist of the Swinging Sixties. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2142049/Vidal-Sassoon-death-Legendary-hair-stylist-dies-aged-84.html

That's a nice piece on Sasson. See the link on facebook it includes an endearing interview with him. " The man with the child in his eyes ".... Jeffery

A sad loss of yet another legend who moulded the sixties. I would visit the Sassoon salon in Manchester, always feeling slightly intimidated, I would even plan my outfit so as not to feel I didn't belong Silly now when I think about it We had a thread about him and Dusty a while back, I expect the documentary will be shown again sometime soon. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3374 There's a part of you, that's a part of me...

Vidal Sassoon, an East End boy who ended up being feted by the stars.. I heard him interviewed a while back, and he came over as a really nice, modest guy. Sad to hear of his demise.
RIP Vidal Sasson, definitely a cut above the rest.

The documentary is AMAZING by the way and I highly recommend it. I turned my tv on the last time I was at my parents' house and it happened to be showing on the channel that the cable box was set to. Very strange.
The interviews of him in that documentary make him look like such a humble and appreciative guy. ~Carolyn
