FREDERICK, MD, Thursday, January 30, 2020 — One of the hottest young Celtic bands playing today, We Banjo 3 performs at the Weinberg Center for the Arts in Frederick Maryland on February 29, 2020 at 8:00 PM.

Tickets are $27 in advance and $35 the day of the event and may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the Box Office at 301-600-2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick Street. Discounts are available for students, children, military, and seniors. Seats in the orchestra section are ticketed as general admission for those who want more of a festival experience and the mezzanine/balcony section is reserved seating for those more at ease in their seat.

We Banjo 3 is the gold standard of Irish and American roots music. One of the best live acts to come out of Ireland in recent years, the multi-award winning We Banjo 3 combine super-group credentials with a breath-taking command of the emotive power of , guitar, mandolin and banjo. Any single member of this group could electrify a venue with a solo performance but together, the result is truly unforgettable. Marin Howley (tenor banjo, mandolin, vocals) is a seven-time all-Ireland banjo champion and holds the distinction of being the first Irish musician to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. Enda Scahill (tenor banjo, vocals) is a widely renowned master of Irish banjo who has recorded with Ricky Skaggs, the Chieftans, and many others. Fergal Scahill (fiddle, percussion, vocals) enjoys an iconic standing in Ireland for both fiddle and bodhrán and is also a tireless collaborator whose many musical projects have left a harmonious international footprint. David Howley (lead vocals, guitar) is a front man of extraordinary presence and emotive range. The band has garnered multiple awards and accolades as diverse as Billboard World #1 to Irish Times Album of the Year to Songlines Magazine Top of the World Award.
