[CV – VLADIMIR LADINSKI] Short narrative biography Dr Vladimir Ladinski is Associate Professor at the School of Architecture and Design, University American College Skopje, and Principal Architect at Design Services, Gateshead Council. His interdisciplinary education encompass architecture, engineering, urban and regional planning, and leadership and management. He has international experience both in the private and the public sector in architecture that includes design of educational, office, public and residential building. In his project architect role on the St Mary's Heritage Centre in Gateshead project he lead the conversion and extension of the redundant Grade I Listed former church and Landmark Building into a local heritage centre. This project won three awards by the Royal Institute of British Architects: the 2011 Northern Network Conservation Award, a 2011 Northern Network Gold Award for Architecture and a 2009 Northern Region Award for Architecture, as well as the 2009 Chartered Association of Building Engineers Gold Laurel Award. His research interests are in the area of sustainable design, design for dementia, and post-disaster reconstruction with special interest in the 1963 Skopje earthquake.
