Ltd. 71, Hari Ghosh Street Calcutta-700 006 Foreword Reservoirs, being an important inland fisheries resource of the country, are a subject of research all over the country. Many research projects on the subject are being pursued by scholars and scientists in various research Institutes, Universities who are in need of information on reservoir fisheries. Planners and policy makers are also in need of information on this resource. A lot of research work has been done in India on reservoirs which are scattered in many journals, bulletins and Departmental publications. Timely availability of literature is an essential prerequisite for any research activity and therefore this Bibliography will come very handy for the researchers working on reservoirs. We shall feel gra tified if this publication of CIFRI will make the literature search on reservoirs a mu_cb easier task for all concerned. Dr. M. Sinha: Director / CIFRI ACKNOWLEDGEMENT The authors wish to acknowledge with deep regards the facilities provided by, Dr. M. Sinha, Director, CIFRI, to carry out this work. Preparation of this bibliography has become possible because of the guidance and personal attention given by Dr. V.V. Sugunan, the renouned expert of reservoir fisheries in India. The authors are also grateful to Ms. Sefali Biswas, Senior Clerk for her untiring help in laser typesetting of this work.
