Paimon Paimon Was Once One of the Most Loyal Generals of Asmodeus, and May Still Be Such If He Is to Be Believed 10/18/2018 The Homebrewery - NaturalCrit Paimon Paimon was once one of the most loyal generals of Asmodeus, and may still be such if he is to be believed. He was among the first of the fallen angels, and his razor sharp intelligence and legions of loyal servants served him well in the cut throat politics of Hell. He served his dark lord in Nessus, advising him on the nature of the multiverse. However, he is now trapped on a material plane cut off from the Outer Planes, totally unable to contact his lord. It is anyone's guess whether or not this was his plan all along. The Roaring King. Paimon is a being of exquisite contradictions. Though he possesses the fair head and torso of a beautiful elven prince, it is connected to the uncouth and gangly body of a camel. Though his face bears a placid expression of tranquility, he can fly into a rage at a moment's notice, unleashing ear shattering roars that break the minds of those that hear them. Unlike many devils, who favor arcane power, Paimon has developed his psionic skills to a mastery unseen anywhere else on the Lower Planes. Lord of the Lost. Ages ago, Paimon was summoned to a material plane shortly before the plane itself was subjected an arcane cataclysm of unprecedented power, a cataclysm so immense that it razed the soil of the planet and seared away its connection to the realms of both gods and devils. Whether Paimon foresaw this cataclysm or not, it is clear that he has embraced his newfound freedom from the rule of Asmodeus, setting himself up as the tyrannical messiah of the many disaffected and scattered tribes of elves that roam this ruined world. He even wields the last remaining moonblade of that planet as a symbol of his authority The Crown. While he still resided on the Nine Hells, Paimon crafted his crown as both a sign of his office and as a means to enhance his already formidable psionic powers. Since his exile on this distant planet, he has also learned to bind the souls of those mortals who pledge their loyalty to him to his crown, forcing them to serve him even in death. He occasionally allows his crown to travel beyond his grasp, guiding whosoever discovers the crown from afar to further his own dark agenda. Defeating Solomon: Intertextuality and Symbolism in the Legend of Hagia Sophia Vencer a Salomón: intertextualidad y simbolismo en la leyenda de Santa Sofía VICTORIA GERHOLD Summary 1. Introduction 2. The Emperor, the Angels and the Church 3. Hagia Sophia, the Final Temple 4. Conclusion Abstract: One of the main literary topics of the Byzantine legend of Hagia Sophia is the comparison between the church built by Emperor Justinian and the temple of Solomon. Previous studies have shown that this topic is elaborated through an intertextual connection between the legendary description of the construction of Hagia Sophia and the biblical description of the construction of the temple of Jerusalem (2 Kings 24: 1, 25; 3 Kings 5: 15-9: 25; 1 Paralipomena 21: 1-8: 16). In the present article, we will argue that the legend also presents intertextual connections with other biblical texts (such as Ezekiel) and even para- biblical texts (such as the Testament of Solomon).

  • Classification of Demons
Classification of demons There have been various attempts throughout history by theologian scholars in the classification of Christian demons for the purpose of understanding the biblical and mythological context of adversarial spirits. Theologians have written dissertations in Christian demonology, classical occultism, classical mythology and Renaissance magic to clarify the connections between these spirits and their influence in various cultures. The study of demonology was historically used to understand morality, behavioral tendencies, and has even been used as symbolism to relay anecdotal tales in with which they lure people into temptation and may also include the angels or saints that were believed to have been their adversaries; an idea which derived from the Biblical battle between the Archangel Michael and Piccalo in The Book of Revelation (12:7-9) describing a war in heaven which resulted in Satan and his angels being expelled from Heaven. The classifications of these fallen angels are based on many other characteristics as well, such as behaviors that caused their fall from heaven, physical appearances or the methods that were used to torment people, The Temptation of St. Anthony by Martin cause maladies, or elicit dreams, emotions, etc. Most authors Schongauer who wrote theological dissertations on the subject either truly believed in the existence of infernal spirits, or wrote as a philosophical guide to understanding an ancient perspective of behavior and morality in folklore and religious themes. THE Second BOOK OF THE HOLY MAGIC, WHICH GOD GAVE UNTO MOSES, AARON, DAVID, SOLOMON, AND OTHER SAINTS, PATRIARCHS AND PROPHETS; WHICH TEACHETH THE TRUE DIVINE WISDOM. BEQUEATHED BY ABRAHAM UNTO LAMECH HIS SON. TRANSLATED FROM THE HEBREW. 1458. 41 The Sacred Magic THE SECOND BOOK OF THE SACRED MAGIC. Prologue. HE Wisdom of the Lord is an inexhaustible fountain, neither hath there ever been a man born who could penetrate its veritable origin and 7foundation. The Sages and Holy Fathers have drunk long draughts thereof, and have been fully satisWed therewith. But with all this, not one among them hath been able to comprehend or know the Radical Principles, because the Creator of all things reserveth that unto Himself; and, like a jealous God, He hath indeed wished that we should enjoy the fruit thereof, but He hath not wished to permit us to touch either the Tree or its Root. It is then not only proper, but further also we are compelled to conform ourselves unto the Will of the Lord, walking in that Path, by the which also our predecessors went, without seeking out through a vain curiosity how it is that God reigneth and governeth in His Divine Wisdom; because such would be a very great presumption and a bestial conceit.

LIBER 777 vel PROLEGOMENA SYMBOLICA AD SYSTEMAM SCEPTICO-MYSTICÆ VIÆ EXPLICANDÆ FUNDAMENTUM HIEROGLYPHICUM SANCTISSIMORUM SCIENTÆ SUMMÆ : V A\A\ publication in Class B 777 THE FOLLOWING is an attempt to systematise alike the data of mysticism and the results of comparative religion. The sceptic will applaud our labours, for that the very catholicity of the symbols denies them any objective validity, since, in so many contradictions, something must be false; while the mystic will rejoice equally that the self-same catholicity all- embracing proves that very validity, since after all something must be true. Fortunately we have learnt to combine these ideas, not in the mutual toleration of sub- contraries, but in the affirmation of contraries, that transcending of the laws of intellect which is madness in the ordinary man, genius in the Overman who hath arrived to strike off more fetters from our understanding. The savage who cannot conceive of the number six, the orthodox mathematician who cannot conceive of the fourth dimension, the philosopher who cannot conceive of the Absolute—all these are one; all must be impregnated with the Divine Essence of the Phallic Yod of Macroprosopus, and give birth to their idea. True (we may agree with Balzac), the Absolute recedes; we never grasp it; but in the travelling there is joy. Am I no better than a staphylococcus because my ideas still crowd in chains? But we digress.
