Written by: Rob van Oosten Hondsdrafstraat 1 1441 PB Purmerend The Netherlands E – Mail : [email protected] © R. van Oosten 1 Introduction. When I was in training to become a teacher ( In the Netherlands that’s the Teachers Training College ) there was an advertisement for Counselors in the United States. Together with my friend Raymond we applied and after a sollicitation talk and the approval of our college we were allowed to go . Working in a summer camp for about 9 weeks and a round trip for 4 weeks. At that time I was 19 years old and did not spend such a long time away from home. I went to several European countries with my parents and was on a holiday in France with another friend ( for a month) the year before. My parents and girl friend ( Gerda to whom I ‘m married ) did not really like the idea but did not stop me. The experience of working in Camp Hurley is one I will never forget. It was a long and hard summer and I lost beside the sweat also a lot of weight. It was a period in which I foumd out that working together is not as easy as it seems to be, working with children can be difficult and it means that you have to invest in yourself and others. So to work in Camp Hurley with these difficult kids has been fundamental in my life. Every year, maybe every month I think about that period and I tried to go back there 6 years ago. -

ABSTRACT WHAT IF YOU're LONELY: JESSICA STORIES By
ABSTRACT WHAT IF YOU’RE LONELY: JESSICA STORIES by Michael Stoneberg This novel-in-stories follows Jessica through the difficulties of her early twenties to her mid- thirties. During this period of her life she struggles with loneliness and depression, attempting to find some form of meaningful connection through digital technologies as much as face-to-face interaction, coming to grips with a non-normative sexuality, finding and losing her first love and dealing with the resultant constant pull of this person on her psyche, and finally trying to find who in fact she, Jessica, really is, what version of herself is at her core. The picture of her early adulthood is drawn impressionistically, through various modes and styles of narration and points of view, as well as through found texts, focusing on preludes and aftermaths and asking the reader to intuit and imagine the spaces between. It is located near the southern area of the Jordan valley. The salt-rich Dead Sea is the lowest point on the earth's surface, being 400 meters below sea level. The air around the Dead Sea is unpolluted, dry, and pollen-free with low humidity, providing a naturally relaxing environment. The air in the region has a high mineral content due to the constant evaporation of the mineral rich water. 3. The Dead Sea comes in the list of the world's greatest landmarks, and is sometimes considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. People usually miss out on this as they do not realize the importance of its unique contents. The Dead Sea has twenty-one minerals which have been found to give nourishment to the skin, stimulate the circulatory system, give a relaxed feeling, and treat disorders of the metabolism and rheumatism and associate pains. The Dead Sea mud has been used by people all over the world for beauty purposes. -

It's a Wonderful Life Final Script Opening Sequence/George Saves
It's a Wonderful Life Final Script Opening sequence/George saves Harry FADE IN –– NIGHT SEQUENCE Series of shots of various streets and buildings in the town of Bedford Falls, somewhere in New York State. The streets are deserted, and snow is falling. It is Christmas Eve. Over the above scenes we hear voices praying: GOWER'S VOICE I owe everything to George Bailey. Help him, dear Father. MARTINI'S VOICE Joseph, Jesus and Mary. Help my friend Mr. Bailey. MRS. BAILEY'S VOICE Help my son George tonight. BERT'S VOICE He never thinks about himself, God; that's why he's in trouble. ERNIE'S VOICE George is a good guy. Give him a break, God. MARY'S VOICE I love him, dear Lord. Watch over him tonight. JANIE'S VOICE Please, God. Something's the matter with Daddy. ZUZU'S VOICE Please bring Daddy back. CAMERA PULLS UP from the Bailey home and travels up through the sky until it is above the falling snow and moving slowly toward a firmament full of stars. As the camera stops we hear the following heavenly voices talking, and as each voice is heard, one of the stars twinkles brightly: FRANKLIN'S VOICE Hello, Joseph, trouble? JOSEPH'S VOICE Looks like we'll have to send someone down –– a lot of people are asking for help for a man named George Bailey. FRANKLIN'S VOICE George Bailey. Yes, tonight's his crucial night. You're right, we'll have to send someone down immediately. Whose turn is it? JOSEPH'S VOICE That's why I came to see you, sir. -
