DAVIS AMONG BASEBALL’S ELITE--Wade Davis was asked to record only one out in Wednesday’s win and continues to hold the Majors’ longest scoreless inning streak at 28.0, while his season ERA of 0.73 is tops in the Majors among all hurlers who have thrown at least 40.0 innings...the last run Wade allowed was on June 25th and has been the lone run surrendered in his last 49.1 innings for a 0.18 ERA dating back to April 26...since giving up two earned runs on April 5, Wade has allowed only two runs over his last 54 outings (56.1 innings) for a 0.32 ERA, while fanning 87...he opened the year going almost four full months without allowing an extra- base hit, but Minnesota’s Kurt Suzuki spoiled the streak with a double on July 31.
